My husband was not supportive at all. He refused to talk to me about it for months. He was secretly hoping that ths insurance company would deny it. When I got the approval letter in the mail, I was very excited, but he wasn't. He thinks it is unnatural to have the band. He is a little better now, but I really get no support from him at all. He still thinks I should be able to eat as much as before and he gets mad when I can't. He doesn't have a weight problem and never has. He has the opposite problem, he can't gain weight. He doesn't think I need to lose weight. He has never even commented on my weight loss even with it being as obvious as it is. But I do a lot for him, I always have. I finally decided it was time to do something for myself for a change, and that's what I did. It would be so nice to have more support from him, but since I don't get it from him, I spend a lot of time here.

Thanks, I think I will try that. I have an appointment in 2 weeks for a fill, but I can cancel it if I feel like I don't need it. The reason I am scared to get a fill is because the last 2 I got were too tight and I had to go back and get some taken out. I couldn't even drink water. It was horrible. So I don't want that again.

I don't know if you were talking to me or BBK, but my marriage seems to be getting better. Things have been really good lately. I really hope they stay this way. We have been going through some tough times together right now, and it seems to have made us stronger. He has even been doing more around the house. I just hope it continues.

I try to follow the South Beach diet since it's the only one that really worked for me (at least for a little while) preband. The no bread rule I don't have a problem with because I can't eat it anyway because I have horrible pains when I do. But it is hard not to eat potatos and corn!

I agree, even if they all split, she still shouldn't have even had 1 implanted. She had too many kids in the beginning. No one is flocking to her because everyone thinks it's crazy for what she did. The reason people flock to other couples who have multiple births is because they usually don't have other children and IVF is the only way they could have any children. They don't just do it because they are collecting babies. She needs to realize that. Someone should really talk to her about giving those babies up. She can't possibly take care of them and they are going to suffer because of her selfishness.

I read another story from the grandmother and she said they didn't implant all 8, that some split. But I don't believe it. The grandmother sounds crazy as well. I think they both need to be in the psych ward.

I agree, she should have donated them. She did it before, so I don't know what the big deal was this time.

From what I heard, and I could be wrong, they did implant all 8 because if they didn't implant them, some would have had to be destroyed and she didn't want that. And she didn't want to donate them.

Since she worked at the fertility clinic, maybe she got it all for free?
