  1. I didn't mean to offend you. I meant hiding it and lieing about it.
  2. It is a moral issue for me as well. We try to go to church and be christians. I don't see that as something a christian should do.
  3. LOL, I don't think I'll ever be that secure!!
  4. I was not snooping. I was loading pictures up on ebay and the file popped up when I clicked Browse. It had girls names, so I clicked on the names and the pictures popped up. i don't call that snooping. And it is his problem when he told me he wouldn't do it again and did. He lied. So I would call that a problem.

Do you keep your 'fat' clothes?

I am glad to see this thread because I have been in this same delima. I have sold a few clothes on ebay that were too big, but I have mostly kept everything else. It is almost like I am emotionally attached to my clothes and I can't get rid of them! I am even scared to buy new jeans! But after reading this, I realize that I am probably walking around in clown pants as well!
  6. You are right. And if it is not a true emergency, they can refuse to see you.

Were is all my Chattanoogians at?

My surgery was may 2008. They want you to have followups every 3 months during the first year, and if you don't, they won't give you a fill untill you have one.
  8. "Every person has access to medical care already. Just like we all have access to auto or home insurance. Each state sets up medical ins. for those who can't afford it, and no hospital can turn away a person without ins., so why does the government need to get invoved with that? Most employers have med. plans for their employees." Not every person has access to medical care! That is very wrong! Not all states have medical care just for those who can't afford it! It is very hard to get state health care here. The only way you can get it is if you are under 21 or a woman with breast or cervical cancer. And as soon as you are cured, they sure dump you fast! And there are plenty of employers who don't offer medical insurance. There are ones who keep employees just right under 40 hours so they don't have to give them benefits. I know, because I work for someone who does that. While it is true that no one can be turned away from an emergency room, hospitals can deny a surgery or procedure because someone can't pay.
  9. Have you talked to your parents? Maybe they know if it is covered or not.

slim, are you weighing everyday? Don't do that! Only weigh once a week. That will give you a better picture of how much you are losing because weight shifts so much from one day till the next.

I have had fills on Wednesdays before, and unfills as well. I think they are mostly doing followups on Tuesdays and Thursdays now. But I haven't seen my doctor since surgery. I always see Brooke or Jennifer. I actually prefer Brooke to do my fills because the doctors put too much in.
  12. I totally agree! We all need to start downloading men and then see how our husbands like that!

I really don't think it is a problem. slim, are you exercising? That makes a huge difference.
  14. Call the number on the back of your card and ask. They can tell you what all you need to do if it is covered. Good luck to you!

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

Well, I don't have any kids other than a 17 year old stepson. He graduates next year. If he still expected to live with us beyond that, he would have to be in college and working and paying his own insurance, car payment, etc. If he wasn't in school, we would expect him to be out on his own. There is no other excuse for a grown child to still be living at home other than pursing their education. It is just pure laziness the way kids do these day, and especially the way parents let them do.
  16. I also think sex education should be up to the parents. But how many parents are going to put their daughters on birth control when she asks for it? I'd say very few. My mother always preached no sex until marriage. That's why I'm so glad Planned Parenthood was around for my birth control.

    Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

I can understand adult children living at home as long as they are going to college and working. I see nothing wrong with it. I wish I had stayed home and went to college instead of moving in with some boy! Maybe I would have finished college then instead of still trying to finish now. I can also see moving back in for a short while if you fall on hard times. But only temporary. I couldn't imagine living with my mother again!!

    Would you do it again?

I would do it again in a second! I am down almost 50 pounds and I feel so much better! I actually cleaned my house from top to bottom today. No way did I ever have the energy to do that before!

I know what you mean, I am still losing hair. But it is better now than it was. I think I need to get mine cut a little and it would probably help. I haven't found any protein shake that is good. They are all nasty to me so I don't even bother with them. You also have to be careful with them because of the calories. Some of them have more calories than a Big Mac!! Do you like cottage cheese? I eat it a lot now and it has a lot of protein. I also eat slices of cheese. You could also drink milk for the protein, but I don't like it.
  20. I can cross mine now, but I have no idea what size I am in because I haven't bought any new clothes. I guess I will keep wearing my size 20s until they fall to the floor!
  21. I have found that to be a problem before with vibrators too. But if you stop using them for awhile, the sensation does come back.

Were is all my Chattanoogians at?

No, that sounds about right. It doesn't sound too tight to me. I really can't snack much at all either. I can not eat much breakfast at all, if any. I have found that sometimes I can eat maybe a small amount of oatmeal. Sometimes on the weekends I will eat a little gravy for breakfast. But nothing more. I can't eat much for lunch either. When I am at work, I usually only eat soup because it goes down easy and none of my coworkers know I have the band, so it would be pretty embarrassing to PB in front of everyone, lol, so I play it safe with soup. I usually start to get hungry around 3. I can eat more in the evenings, so dinner is my biggest meal. I usually can't eat anything past dinner. Sometimes I will eat popcorn or some applesauce, but only very little. Stress also affects my band a lot. But it sounds like you are where you should be. Are you having any pain when you eat?

Thanks, I am feeling better. They said some people's stomach swells right after a fill, I guess I'm one of the lucky few who it happens to.

Well I thought I was right where I needed to be with my last fill, but over the weekend I started having trouble keeping solids down. So I had to go back yesterday and have some removed again. This is the third time this has happened. It is very frustrating.

    I've been feeling so alone.

Are you exercising at all? That can really help lose it faster. I can relate to not losing fast. I had surgery in May and I have lost 45 pounds. I am one of the people who have had really bad experiences being too tight. I have been too tight during my last 3 fills and have had to go have some taken out everytime. I think that has slowed my weight loss. But I am also one of those people who can't lose unless I exercise. So that may be part of your problem, I don't know.
