I don't have any problems with popcorn. I just can't eat a lot of it, but that is normal.

Again Kat, I agree with you. My mother is a foster parent as I have said before and she's never had a problem with social workers favoring her over the biological parents. It is usually the other way around, they tend to do everything they can to help the parents get their kids back. And more often that not, they do eventually get the kids back, even if the parents haven't changed. The system favors keeping kids with their parents and out of foster homes so the government doesn't have to pay the foster parents for their keep.

I agree with Heather and Kat. I think they should investigate every incident that is reported the same way. If a social worker were to come to my house to investigate a complaint, I would be angry at the person who reported me, but I wouldn't take it out on the social worker and I certainly wouldn't tell them, no you can't come into my house, especially when I had nothing to hide. If I were a social worker, I would find it suspicious if someone got really mad and wouldn't cooperate with me. That would just make me think they had something to hide.

I have actually been on the other side. I have seen children in danger and social workers do NOTHING. I reported my own sister a few years ago because she was heavy on drugs and living with a man who beat her and her little boy. They never had food. My sister and her boyfriend took all the money they had each week and bought drugs with it. They always had their power off and they never had water. Their house was nothing but filth. They didn't have running water, but they would still use the toliet. And of course they couldn't flush it, so you can imagine the smell. They had roaches everywhere. They would take the little boy with them to buy drugs and they would run out of gas in the middle of the night and have to walk home with the little boy in the freezing cold. They got food stamps, but they would sell them to buy drugs. They were all 3 skin and bones from not eating. My sister would not get any help. I got tired of my nephew living that way. My sister would call the cops when he beat them, and he would go to jail, but she always took him back when he got out. And he always got out of it when he went to court. So I reported her to DCS. It took them months after I reported her to send someone out. The social workers didn't do anything. They offered my sister and her boyfriend alcohol and drug counseling and they went for a few months. But then they just stopped going. And they continued to live that way for years. DCS never went back. They didn't do one single thing to help my nephew. He should have been taken away ASAP.

It is very surprising what parents let their kids do. My step brother moved in with his girlfriend when he was about 15 and she was 13. Her parents wanted him to move in. To this day, I still don't know why she never got pregnant.

Yes, my sex drive has definitely gotten better! I used to never want it, so it is very different to feel this way! I think it has to do with hormonal changes as we lose weight.

patty, I'm not sure who your social workers were when you were a foster parent, but my mom is a foster parent and the social workers do have all the power! They are the ones who remove children from homes and monitor them when they are in new homes. They go in front of the judge and tell him or her the findings and the judge more often than not goes with the social worker's suggestions. But I do agree that she needs to stay away from the media and not allow cameras in her home. That to me is just another indicator of her not being stable.

And I haven't used it to fuel the fire. I haven't even said anything to him about it.

Ebonyrose, it is very interesting that you should mention that. Because now our computer has a really bad virus and we can't get rid of it. It has taken over everything. We can't even get online or anything. The computer guy said that he might not be able to remove it at all. I know it could have come from anywhere, but now I am really starting to wonder.

I can so relate to not buying new clothes. I feel like I still look huge as well. But mine are falling off. I am having a lot of emotional issues about losing weight and I didn't think I would. I think my brain is still the "fat girl" but my body is not. Everyone has noticed that I have lost a lot of weight, but I still wonder what they are talking about sometimes because I still feel the same....

I wouldn't worry much about it, because you are going to feel full a lot longer than you do now. It is also very hard to take breaks where I work, so I understand. I don't know if you work day or night shift, but I work days, and I have really good restriction early in the day and I usually don't eat much until later.

Yes, we do have to bring it back!! Candy is really hard for me to say no to, especially chocolate. But I have found that if I just have a small piece, I am fine.

tapshoes, you can also come to my house whenever you want!! LOL!! My aunt cleans houses for a living. She actually makes good money. You just have to find the right people to work for and not compromise on your price. But it can be a challenge.

I don't think this question is out there. I work in the medical field and I know that it could be possible one day. I honestly don't know how I would feel about this. I actually think it would be a good idea, but I don't agree with making it a requirement and making abortion illegal. I think if it were possible, women should be given a choice about what they would want. One problem I have with it is, who is going to take care of all these babies that are "saved from abortion"? I know there are a lot of people who can't have kids who would want to adopt, but I honestly don't think there would be enough homes. The foster care system is already too full of unwanted children without homes. If you look at how many abortions are preformed each day, what if all of those fetuses were kept alive in machines. Look at how many that would be just in a day. So I don't know, what would happen to them all? And where would the money come from to sustain these babies in the machines? Who would pay for it?

I still don't think some of you get it. The problem I have with it being downloaded is this is my computer too and I don't want to see it. And I'm sure he wouldn't want to see naked men if I downloaded them. It is about respect. And I'm the one that said we all do things in private that we don't want others to know about. And if he wasn't going to stop looking at it, he should have been honest. No, I probably wouldn't have liked it, but at least he would have been honest with me about it instead of lying over and over. And just for the record, I don't read romance novels.
