  1. I agree that what patty said was insensitive. My sister has one child. But she has lost 3 babies, including one that was born dead.
  2. patty, you are delusional. Girls are starting their periods younger and younger. I started mine at 11, but my Mom and sister both started theirs at 9. I have also known a lot of girls who started theirs at 7 or 8. It is not uncommon anymore. Also, just because a girl has gone through puberty and has a period does not mean she can become pregnant. It takes about a year after a girl starts her period before her body can actually become pregnant. I know since you are a CNA that you think you know everything about human bodies, but you should really do your research before you post such inaccurate information. Also, like someone else said, the female body is not developed enough to carry a baby below the age of about 19. Just because girls used to have babies at 13 and 14 doesn't mean their bodies were ready. That's one reason why so many girls died in child birth. Actually, a girls body is not even ready for sex until she is about 18 or 19. And that is physically ready, not to mention, she is not even mentally ready for sex and pregnancy. That is a whole other topic.
  3. Yes, of course people had sex with relatives! I don't know why patty would say otherwise. But that was old testament law. It wasn't considered wrong then. But you see, when Jesus came in the New testament, he made new laws. People were supposed to follow the new testament after Jesus came. I believe the only thing from the old testament that still applied was the 10 commandments. That's one reason why I don't understand why some religions don't eat pork. That was old testament law. Jesus said we could eat any kind of meat we wanted. But some still go by that old testament law about not eating swine. And yes, people did marry girls under 18. But the life expectancy wasn't very old back then, so I guess they weren't considered children, I don't know. There's the Bible lesson for today!!
  4. I was sexually abused at 10. I know exactly how you feel. I used to feel the same way about sex. I wouldn't even let a boy touch me when I was a teenager. I agree with rodriguezequal, it helped me to be in control.

Were is all my Chattanoogians at?

I was able to get a fill at my 1 year followup. I don't think they like to do it, but if you tell them how far you drive, they might be willing to do both.

Why do women have anal sex?

I also had an exboyfriend who did the surprise attack. But he was the first guy I ever had sex with, so I just thought it was normal and that everyone did it! I have slept with about 10 guys since then, and surpisingly, none of the others ever asked for it. I never liked it, so I have never tried to do it again. I also made it clear when my husband and I got together that I wouldn't be doing it. I never thought women liked it, but my husband says that there are women who will beg for it!! Good note about the hygiene issue.
  8. I have read the Bible many times, thank you. I have not read where the Bible states that it is wrong. As with many things, the Bible is not clear on a lot of topics, abortion included. By the way, I read a story today about a study that was done recently that stated that girls who attend religious schools were more likely to have an abortion than girls attending public schools. I will try to find the link.
  9. Yea, we can all use very unreliable methods of birth control, that will solve it!! Or we can wait until we are married to have sex and use no birth control at all and then have 15 kids like our granparents did!! By the way, I am a christian and I believe in the right to choose.
  10. There are a lot of people who agree with you about God and the Bible patty, but it's just the way you say things that bother people.
  11. Patty, you said earlier that the topic of masterbation isn't clear in the Bible. Well, I don't think the Bible is clear on the topic of abortion either.

That's good that she called you. I really like her a lot. I like her better than any of them. She seems like she really cares. Last time I was there for a fill, I had to wait forever on Brooke in that floro room and I was the only one there.

My last adjustment was really good. I can really feel a difference right now. But my weight loss seems to have stopped. It is SO aggravating.
  16. I think I would be a little bit scared to get another one since it has slipped twice. But if you really want a new one, I would talk to the doctor about some type of payment arrangements. It would be stupid for him to not offer you some type of arrangement, since he is being paid to take out the old one.

Favorite Band Friendly Fast Food Go To

I tried the KFC grilled chicken. It was good, just a little too greasy. I never could eat Long John Silvers even before being banded. It always made me sick. We don't have one where I live anymore. They closed down. Captain D's has pretty good shrimp.
  18. I am a little confused, mucus can't plug up the band. The band is on the outside of your stomach. It isn't possibe for mucus to get in it. Am I missing something?

I have a hard time with bread. I can eat a dinner roll sometimes if I save it until I have eaten everything else. And I can eat the outside hard part of a biscuit. Sometimes I eat that on the weekends with gravy. I can't eat french fries anymore. But that's probably a good thing. I'm kinda glad I can't eat bread because that means I can't binge on hamburgers and fast food like I used to. So it's really been a good thing. I have no problem with rice or steak. I can eat pasta as long as it is the thin kind. But I was never much of a pasta fan, so I don't really care about that.

    Elective C-Section Poll

That's a good question. I guess I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it as long as the woman knows the risks involved. Another thing to consider is if insurance would pay for an elective c section. Some may not pay unless it is medically necessary.

They want you to wait 2 weeks to see if you get any restriction.

cmexlr8, I know it is frustrating, but hang in there, it does get better. Most people don't notice anything from the first fill. I noticed a big difference with my second, but everyone is different. It is normal right now for you to be able to eat a lot. Most people don't start losing good until after a few good fills. Just try to keep making smart choices like you have been. As for me, I have started to feel the adjustment this evening. I tried to eat a peanut butter cracker and I got stuck really bad. I know I ate it too fast. Now if it would just go down I would be happy.

I can't eat bread anymore, so burgers and sandwichs are out for me. I like Wendy's and Zaxby's salads. But you have to be careful with the calories and especially the dressing. I also can't eat fries any more either, not sure why, but they don't agree with me. So I eat very little fast food now. I do sometimes go to Mcdonalds and get a grilled chicken sandwich and take the meat off the bread and I'll eat a parfait. Other than that, there's not much fast food I can eat anymore.
