    Do you find it hard?

my pre-op diet was pretty much simple, but yet efficient. Can't say it wasn't hard, but I managed my hunger. My only food for 2 weeks was a full protein shake every 3 hours (got an alarm reminder on my phone) - at 9am, 12pm, 3pm and 6pm. Plus lots of water in between. With Premier Protein (30mg) it was nearly 260% of daily protein value, about 20% of daily fat and less than 10% of carbs.

    64 oz water

you are right - it's not clear, but actually based on pure clear water (with protein powder added).
  3. walk, at least 5 minutes every hour. And ask for more painkillers in between. I got morphine every 2 hours...

    Disease??

Oh, dear - this is probably not the best place to ask for such things - your well-being is at stake, you need a professional consultation, not a chitchat with folks here. What does your doc say? If there any higher risks?
  6. I have the same. It doesn’t mean they were rough, I guess. Yes, it has been irritated with pipes, plus you got your fluids through IV for about 2 days, and a few more days after you (most likely) was dehydrated. That’s a perfect condition to get some soreness or even mild infection. It should go away soon.

H pylori is the last test to take

On my upper gastric exam (pipe swallow) I’ve been diagnosed having 2 ulcers. Biopsy indicated h pillory, so I got antibiotics. The next exam indicated that ulcers were gone. As my doc said it is extremely important to heal any stomach-related issues, like erosion or ulcers, as those could cause a severe leakage or inflammation shortly after the surgery. So one should be ready to postpone the op until fully healed.
  8. For my puréed phase I am planning to use baby food - there are lots of puréed meats with a perfect protein/fat balance, low sodium etc - and with a decent taste. My 1.5 y.o. one loves it, so I’m going to join him just in a couple of weeks
  9. Me too, but a single walk along the street and back makes me feel extreme exhaustion. The treadmill would just kill me

    Sleeve too small

How it could be too small? Isn’t it a standard technology based on anatomy. There are videos on YT with a full sleeve surgery filmed in details and with comments. So according to it sleeve just can’t be too small or large, it is just as your body dictates it to be. Not a specialist anyway, just my opinion.
  11. Oh my, this is a bit early, as you just advanced from your liquid phase I guess shake is fine, but be ready to get too much attention and answer numerous questions about the surgery, lack of willpower and othe silly things... after all, do what is more convenient and comfortable to you - you got through all pains and made a very hard and ultimate decision with you WLS, so nobody have the right to say how should you socialize. Frankly speaking, I think a WLS decision is a way more responsible one, compared to weddings 😁
  12. I wouldn’t bother much about the weight loss at this moment, focus on recovery instead. I had my sleeve on Wed and feel exhausted. A 20 minutes walk feels like a marathon to me. Besides, a slower progress is said to be much better and efficient long term - less skin sacks, less stress for your body. just give it some time.
  13. I just got VGS yesterday, at home now. Pain is exhausting. Got liquid pain killer, but can't drink it - the taste makes me throw up immediately. I have no idea how to deal with this. I can just drink up to 4 tbsp of plain water and feel awful swirling in my stomach. I wonder why nobody covered this aspect of the journey during support group sessions
  14. Thanks, I’ll try this drinking technique.
