Today (4/26/17) is 12 days Post-op. I feel like I'm starting to get more energy now. the first couple days after surgery I felt very weak, I guess because my body is in repair mode. I'm now down 25lbs. People are now starting to notice that I'm losing weight. It feels good to hear that. I'm still on my full liquid diet. I only have yogurt, cream of chicken soup (strained), Powerade Zero, Campbell's chicken noodle soup broth, sugar free popsicles, sugar free Jello, Protein shakes from unjury, and my vitamins.
Being Mexican-American, it's tough being around food. We celebrate EVERYTHING through food; Birthdays, holidays, new jobs, weddings, births, deaths, etc. So I just have to suck it up and smell and see all that yummy food while drinking my shake.
The struggle is real people, hahaha! I'm just kidding!! You just have to train yourself to know that it's all going to be worth it.
