How is your liquid diet going?

Its not too bad. My diet is not all liquid. I can have unlimited carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and cucumbers so when I start to get too hungry I eat some carrots. Its just enough to keep me from having a headache but not enough to make me happy. lol Are you feeling better?

    Awesome!
    Are you excited?

Anybody give you crap about getting it done in Mexico?

I'm very excited. No one has really given me crap because only my husband and one of my cousins know about any of this. I dont have any idea what they would say so I figured it would just be easier this way. I'll probably end up telling them after its done. Are you getting negative comments?

Hello all! My RNY is end of May. The 30th. So still a ways for me it seems. I am from Canada so the process seems slower. I was referred in March and have did all my appointments June to December. Now just a pre-op and then Surgery! I am trying to keep myself busy by getting some thing done so I can relax and focus on my recovery. I am hoping to be off work fro the month of June, however I am not sure yet.

I wish I could take a month off! Unfortunately I have to go back as soon as I feel well enough.

  4. My surgery date is May 1st and at first I was feeling the same way. As soon as I finalized the last of the plans I got extremely nervous and it lasted for a whole week. At one point I was thinking that I was going to worry myself into an ulcer or something and then I wont be physically able to have it done. Luckily that only lasted about a week and now Im more excited than anything. I dont even know what changed. I just woke up one day and felt different. Hopefully you will get over it as well. I agree with the others about praying and follow your instincts. Im guessing its natural to worry about what can go wrong, but maybe you can think more about how your life can change for the better instead. That should help you calm down.

We can certainly do this together since we are in similar situations!

  5. I also have the Garmin Vivosmart HR and I like it a lot. I had the Vivoactive at first but there was something about it that I didn't like so I exchanged it. I cant remember what it was though.

  6. I'm also may 1st but I'm bypass. I know exactly how you feel, except it has taken me a year with all of my insurance requirements. They called me last Friday and I almost panicked... Like, wait a minute, what did I get myself into! LOL. I even said that to the lady calling to schedule me. I know we are not getting the same surgery, but we can totally be surgery buddies! I haven't found anyone with my date yet : )

Great! It will be nice knowing someone on a similar journey!

  7. May 1st is my surgery date. This all happened very quickly for me. I started researching the sleeve about 3 months ago and now its a reality. I finally got my husband on board and the time off from work so I paid my deposit today. Even though I have researched endlessly and done a tone of planning as soon as I hit send on the deposit I got extremely nervous. Its a good thing I don't have too long to wait because my nerves couldn't handle it!
