Built In Early Warning System!

Interesting! Well at least I know I’m not crazy now & if I am I’m not alone! 😂 -
I’ve been told so many times by my entire surgical group that thinking your stalled before 3 to 4 months out is ridiculous. That said I have been 275 for a couple of weeks now but last Friday at my 3 month follow up I was told I had lost 5 pounds more than the average person looses at this point. Just waiting for another 10 pound drop in one week now!

That’s cool! I ate a Hershey bar today. Although it was a Hershey’s miniature.

Thanks so much! I just happen to agree with my team who also told me to stay off the scale as well. I only weigh myself at doctor appointments. It works for me. Oh & yes absolutely GO HAWKS!

6 Weeks Out and Struggling

I would suggest a plant-based diet. Try drinking only water and plant based protein shakes or plant based protein powder with almond milk instead of dairy. Try quinoa and lentils & or nuts for additional protein. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables or frozen vegetables. If this works for you then slowly start adding in small amounts of meat preferably lean protein. Don’t eat any fried foods or added oil in foods. Grilled lean poultry & fish/Shrimp/seafood are great & easy on the stomach. -

Hey thanks so much for the compliments. No actually the BMI scale is aged way back & was actually made by insurance companies (imagine that) of course being class 2 or 3 obese is above the top for almost anyone. I’m aiming for normal range but again it really isn’t an accurate scale to go by. I would be happy to be in the obese category with my build. Some body builders are considered obese because of their muscle weight so how does that BMI scale work really? -
Well everything is looking good after my 3 month follow up appointment today with the exception of one thing. I’ve been 5-8 my entire adult life & somehow I mysteriously shrunk an in which in turn brought up my BMI. I’ve been eating healthy & working hard at the gym. I was pleasantly surprised at how this showed in my vitals which have been terrible in the past. I’ve still got 100 pounds to lose so there’s still plenty to do but I cannot be more pleased with the way things have gone so far. My plates contain a piece of meat/protein accompanied by fruits & veggies. There’s no reason to shop for anything else. My blood work was great with the exception of low Vitamin D. Onward I go! Slow & steady wins the race. My height is actually 5-8 so my BMI is 41.8

Protein in shakes is better than bars which are just candy with added protein but the shakes are absorbed so much faster than a piece of meat. It takes longer to break down meat so your body might absorb more protein. A shake will go right through you & protein may not be absorbed & discarded as waste. -

Thanks so much. ! I love BBQ to! I’ll have to come up with something low cal & healthy in that category as well. So many options to choose from. I love it! -
Obviously I like my Grilled Chicken! Grilled Tomatoes, Cottage Cheese, & Hijiki Salad. My instagram page has many more ideas for smaller portion meals. It’s a work in progress. Check it out at, ”my_tiny_healthy_plate”.
