Ribeye 🥩 & 🥗! -
Anytime! I may need you to repay the favor soon. By the way your before and after pics look great! Oh yeah I forgot you’re also supposed to take around 20 minutes to eat your meals .

I had my gallbladder removed and it wasn’t too bad but after the surgery be very careful to heal before lifting too much or you will get an umbilical hernia at the incision spot. This has happened to me twice now. Good luck hope all goes well!

I’ve been on here a long time and you make more excuses and whine more than anybody I’ve ever seen on here. I might’ve been hungry but I didn’t indulge. I’ve done the post-op diet twice now and never deviated. You want peoples honest opinions then you call them all names like they’re the problem. If you don’t want responses or answers to your posts then keep them to yourself. Good luck I have a feeling your going to need it! Also I was referring to you eating heaps & chocolates & drinking whine. I never heard anything about a piece of pizza.

Nothing but water for a while & no liquids 30 minutes before or after each meal. Nothing but lean meat grilled or baked not fried. Whole fruits & veggies. No sauces oils or breaded fried foods whole grains on occasion. No bread potatoes corn squash or starchy foods. Avoid broth gravy or liquified foods. Only eat hearty solid foods. Exercise at least 3 times a week. Try it for a month or two & see if you get the results your looking for. Good luck! Also first meal within two hours of waking up then again every three hours through the day and nothing to eat two hours before bed.

I’m not a vet & I find it to be foolish. It’s everything we’re all warned against from the first meeting & by dietitians all the way through pre-op. I’m actually shocked at that kind of behavior 2 or even 4 weeks post-op. I’v personally made excuses for a very long time & that’s all they are is excuses. Why attack someone for making perfect sense. I’m committed to this surgery & after I have it I’m not making excuses anymore. I’m accepting that I have a problem & want to change. I’m not saying I will never eat a piece of pizza or a cheeseburger again but straight out of surgery having not even recovered yet & eating poorly & drinking just seems like sabotage. Sorry if I’ve offended anyone but that’s just the way I see it.

First meeting with surgeon tomorrow. Need advice

The risk of accidental deaths is due to that fact that after surgery people simply become more active & therefore die sometimes doing things that would not have been doing had they not had surgery. -
Any January 2018 Sleevers?

Mine is the 18th as well. -
I was told this surgery is permanent & it can’t be undone & it will yield results unless it’s sabotaged by the people who have it if they don’t fully commit to the lifestyle change.

Surgery postponed for the right reason
Seahawks Fan posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery cancelled by my surgeon because I wasn't in the right mindset. He scheduled me to see him in two weeks. I already had the IV in to. I told him how I've been feeling and he said ,"Well surgery don't sound like a good idea at this time". I agree with him. It's been a battle to meet all the requirements & do the postop diet but I've been battling with my own inner demons. The last couple days have been torturous on my mind. You can't go into surgery with the wrong mindset or you'll come out the wrong mindset. I guess the best device I can give is if you're scheduled for surgery and you're having doubts speak up before it's too late. I was 353 when I had my first appointment before the seminar I weigh 298 today. The majority of my weight-loss has been the result of a plant based vegan diet. If I can keep it up I may scratch surgery altogether. If I relapsed to carnivor and start eating empty calories again then surgery will may be the only option. I feel relieved with this decision & happy not to be in recovery right now. To all that had surgery today & before congratulations for making such a brave move towards future health & happiness. As for me I'm in limbo at the moment. -

Anyone else feel this way? Been waiting all this time & with surgery Tuesday I'm freaked! If I'm honest fear & uncertainty has set in. I keep asking myself if life will be as enjoyable after surgery?

First meeting with surgeon tomorrow. Need advice

I backed out of surgery in the hospital with my IV in at the last second on May 30, 2017 & regret it. I’m rescheduled now for January 18. I researched & had certain doubts/fears as well but I’m ready now. I went back to old habits & my lifestyle/addiction to food was realized. This surgery beats the alternative hands down! I want to run & breathe. Address all of your questions/concerns at every opportunity. -
All that matters is that by 6 months you’ll have lost over 100 pounds. And that’s just the beginning. Everyone on here is stressing way to early & not looking at the road ahead. Chillax man!

Any January 2018 Sleevers?

I was scheduledMay 30, 2017 & backed out at the last second. Had the iv in & was ready to get wheeled to the OR. Now I regret not going through with it & I'm rescheduled for January 18. Don't let being nervous get the best of you. I made it clear I want the Adavan as soon as possible when I arrive at the hospital to curve my anxiety & calm my nerves. Good luck! -
If your still on the post op diet then just be patient. If your not are you eating solid foods? Do you stop drinking water 30 minutes before meals & until 30 minutes after your meals? Are you consuming liquid calories? Are you walking at least 3 times a week or exercising? Your meals should amount to 1/2 a cup of solid healthy choices no more than 2 hours after waking then every 3 hours through the day & your last meal/snack should be eaten 2 hours before bed. Now at 3 weeks I would imagine your still on some kind of liquid or purée diet. At 3 or 4 weeks out of surgery you really shouldn’t even be concerned with your weight but focused on getting in your water & protein.

Liquid Diet & anticipation. Was scheduled for May 30, 2017 & backed out at the last second. I wish I would’ve had it done then. I lost weight during the pre-op diet & felt that I could do it without surgery. It was during this time that my true relationship/addiction to food was realized. So happy to be back on board!

I have a friend who had surgery May 30 2017 & today down 114 pounds. If you expect to lose A bunch of weight in 3 to 4 weeks your expectations are way too high 10 15 20 even 30 pounds is amazing in that amount of time. Everybody’s different but if you follow the plan with your meals and drink your water at the right times it will happen eventually.
