I’m going insane from itching & rash on my stomach. It seams to be mostly where I was shaved prior to surgery & my incisions are a little red but not a concern. I’ve been doing very well in most every aspect but this itch is driving me absolutely nuts! Anyone else experience this or have any ideas as to what’s causing it or how to remedy it? I’m about ready to go to the doctor for it. I’m one week post-op today.

I have 2-4 ounces per meal every 3 hours & drink 2 L of water per day. I also fit a protein shake in & some Spicy V8 juice. When you switch to solid foods you will get 4-6 ounce meals but may find 4 is all you need. My surgery was January 18th.

What lunch looks like- 6weeks 2 days post op

I will eat tortilla chips & salsa as well as a taco shell with a taco. I’ll also eat a bite or two of garlic bread and noodles with spaghetti. I will also eat baked fries & potatoes. I’m not giving that stuff up just committing to the appropriate portions. -
Ask for the patch they can still give it to you. All meds need to be liquid or crushed stay on top of your pain.

Sip on a protein shake & finish at least one each day. Eat when you wake up then every 3 hours until 2 hours before bed. Yougurt & soups are filling. My surgery was last Thursday & it works for me. Your meals should be 2 to 4 ounces.

Did you get the nausea patch behind your ear? It lasts up to a week.

I’ve had heartburn my entire adult life and I’ve been on strong medication for 30 years. Since I’ve had surgery I’ve taken no medication & my heartburn is completely gone. I have yet to transition to solid foods but hopefully with a little luck things stay the same. It’s absolutely miraculous to not take medicine and feel no burn!

Having Gastric Sleeve and I’m scared!

You got this! I was scheduled for surgery on May 30, 2017. I backed out at the last minute and regretted that decision up until the time that I had surgery last Thursday January 18th. Just follow your preop diet instructions and follow the doctors instructions. You’ll do great! -
Any January 2018 Sleevers?

My pre-op was 4 weeks. 2 weeks liquid & 1 meal then 2 more weeks only liquid. It can be difficult but is tolerable. You all got this! -

I followed the pre-op to the letter. I was afraid going off plan could hinder healing & add to recovery time. -
2 weeks pre-surgery....very nervous reading some of the posts

You will be fine! Read my posts. I had surgery on the 18th. -
I don’t even own a scale so weigh ins at the doctors office are it for me.
-
The scale isn’t always an accurate representation where size is concerned.

My surgery was on January 18th. With the exception of the full liquid diet & soon to be puréed I feel as though everything is normal. I can chug water already & so far no food has disagreed with me. I’m starting to wonder if they even sleeved me at all. Feeling great & hoping things only improve!

I was scheduled for May 30 and I backed out at the last minute. I so wish I could go back and have done it then. But 6 or 7 months later it’ll still yield the same results down the road.

I will take your advice & sip but I spoke to the triage nurse yesterday & informed her as to how much fluids I can ingest & she told me I was lucky & that I couldn’t harm myself with water intake but to be sure I have only 2 ounces of liquids per meal. Also no water half an hour before & until half an hour after each full liquid meal. I do feel fortunate & the last thing I want to do is compromise a good thing.

Just plain water.

Well tomorrow’s the big day. After a four week pre-op I have to be at the hospital at 9:00 & surgery at 10:30. A little nervous but ready!
-
Follow pre-op to the letter.

That rocks!

I love all of them. Caramel is my least favorite. Strawberry is delicious!
