Yep pizza smoothie! But only half a cup.
-
Yeah I did that & it worked well. I put Taco Bell fire sauce in almost everything I purée. I love it! I was on omeprazole for almost 25 years before my surgery and I haven’t It since. The hot stuff hasn’t bothered me one bit!

Anyone else feel out of place on nights like tonight?
Seahawks Fan replied to kandywolf's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Everyone has been downing the Snacks around me & I have restrained myself until dinner. So I had a piece of pepperoni pizza with parmigiana cheese & half a bottle of Taco Bell fire sauce in the vitamix for dinner tonight. Of course my serving was half a cup but what a treat it was! -
Breathing the free air again at last my friends!
Seahawks Fan posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
After many years of struggling to take a full breath and trying to catch my breath at the slightest of tasks I can now breathe freely. So many things we take for granted one of them being the air we breathe. I’ve struggled to get the mail go up and down the stairs doing the slightest of tasks around home even taking a shower and getting dressed was exhausting having difficulty putting on my socks and tying my shoes. This may even be premature as I’m only 16 days out at this point and could possibly find it easier to breathe further down the road. Mainly I noticed this while swimming and I was able to hold my breath underwater longer than I have in years. Right now I just know that I am finding it easier to breathe and not having shortness of breath is awesome! I can’t wait to play outside with my kids this summer! If it only gets better from here on out I welcome it! -

Just last night I had a dove chocolate heart and I just sucked on it and it melted in my mouth and it was delicious and I felt just fine until I had three more UGG! Felt sick for about a half hour but boy was it delicious. I’ll definitely stick to one next time I treat myself and I won’t make a habit of it. -

Just had Orientation, Feeling Discouraged

Yes liquid calories are as in fruit juices, whole milk, soda. By all means have your spinach water. Some healthier liquid calories are good during puréed since your calories are deficient. I drink a large glass of spicy V8 every other day. I blend fruit into my protein shakes to. -
Anyone that started around 300 want to share your stats?
Seahawks Fan replied to Gotalose's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I eat 1/2 cup puréed every 3 hours until 2 hours before bed. Sometimes a few bites more. I’m 2 weeks out as of Thursday Feb 1st. Been on puréed for a week. -

You do realize that pre-op & post-op weight gain/loss is expected right? I see a lot of people on here concerned with their gain/loss when it is completely irrelevant. I honestly don’t know why anyone is concerned or is even keeping track at this point when the real concern should be preparing/recovering. Really the only time anyone should be paying attention to the scale is when the transition to solid food has been made & even then results shouldn’t be expected immediately. Before I had surgery I devoured all the water I could & after surgery received god knows how many bags of fluids as well as the fluids I had started drinking. I don’t have a scale at home & honestly don’t care to. I’ll leave it to doctors appointments or the gym to see what I weigh & even then there’s no rush. All that should matter really is that in the next 6 months to a year I hope to see 100 pounds less of me than a year before & everyone else should be hopeful to see the same. -

24 grams! Not ounce. -
I was given the ok today to advance early to puréed 4 ounce meals. Yay!! My rash is a normal reaction to glue and topical applied pre-surgery. They gave me something for the itch advanced my diet & told me I was ok to go swimming & use the hot tub. My 10 pound lifting restriction was also raised to 25 pounds. I’m so happy that I can now pick up my 12 pound baby girl! I feel very fortunate thus far in this journey. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

Side Effects of Gastric Sleeve Surgery?
Seahawks Fan replied to low bmi sleeve's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Probably better to go in with a positive attitude & outlook. Knowing everything may not be the best approach. My surgeon told me that you will hear every bad story out there but you rarely hear the good ones. If people have no complaints your less likely to hear of their success but you can bet that most every negative experience is out there. -
With a good blender you can purée nearly anything. The possibilities are endless. Just try to keep it healthy.

Blended Campbell’s Chunky Soups. They have some with high protein. I had Split Pea & Ham with 26g of protein! 😋 We have a Vitamix & it purées nicely.

Having Gastric Sleeve and I’m scared!
Seahawks Fan replied to KrystalRose's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Compared to my Gal-bladder surgery & hernia repair surgery this surgery is not even comparable! I woke up feeling almost no pain & the other surgeries were excruciating! If it’s surgery itself your worried about this one is more like a procedure & really is a walk in the park! -

I can eat more than I think I should.. Day 6 Post-op
Seahawks Fan replied to nickiarnold7's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Consider yourself lucky! I to can drink a lot of water & I was told that I’m fortunate. Fluids are not comparable to solid foods. Even on full liquids & puréed your going to be able to handle much more than when you transition to solids. You also are going to be calorie & protein deficient. If you can handle 4 ounces it’s to you benefit. I would not be concerned if I were you. I would be happy to be able to drink freely when SOOOOOO many others cannot.
