Not Enough Stomach Removed

I was told to eat half a cup every 3 hours at two weeks out. And at the end of the puréed phase I may not be able to eat a half a cup. -

If your surgery center has done this enough times they have a model to go by and everybody’s stomach is the same size after surgery. Following the right guidelines and eating solid hearty foods every three hours you should have nothing to be freaked out. -

Are you eating 4 oz every three hours? Make sure your food choices are solid hearty foods & No drinking up to 30 minutes before meals and until 30 minutes after. Every 3 hours is not that long to wait without grazing in between. -

Didn’t your surgical group give you a binder with all of this information in it? If they didn’t they should have! -

Sounds like me with the water & shakes. Never a problem. I can chug a lot of water & have been drinking 2 liters or more since 2 days out. I consider myself lucky. I also get it with the food. I’m on puréed until the 22nd & I have take a few bites of soft foods but chewed it real well. I suggest a good blender if you don’t already have one. I was told I can purée nearly anything I want as long as I only eat half a cup every 3 hours & no that doesn’t mean cake lol but I have had a slice or pizza on Super Bowl Sunday & a burrito in chili another time. Other than that it’s mostly Campbell’s Chunky Soup. Everything I eat has Taco Bell Fire Sauce on it. I use a Vitamix & it is the Bomb! It puree’s awesome! -
Best I’ve had! Very healthy full of vitamins/nutrients. I even mix it with Orgain. 1 scoop of each is 30 grams of protein & 60 more calories with 2 cups of almond milk. They both come in different flavors.

God didn’t give us free will we took it upon ourselves rather than doing his will.

You got this!

I’ve been adding chicken & beef to my puréed 1/2 cup meals the past few days & have been unable to finish it. The difference is huge. Makes me wonder how much faster I’ll feel full when I switch to solids. I’m actually excited to feel fuller from less!

Purée phase, not feeling anything?
Seahawks Fan replied to Synixer's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I just made some meat spaghetti sauce for dinner. I have a Vitamix Blender & it makes a nice purée out of ANYTHING. I haven’t had a lot of meat at this point but with burger or chicken added it really does hit me like a ton of bricks at the end of a half a cup. My first sensation of being full was (and I’m not making this up) like a small earthquake. I had to pass on the last few bites. I was eating & suddenly it felt like the room was shaking even though it was my pouch saying ENOUGH! I was actually happy to feel it because to that point I felt like you in your above post when you mentioned you weren’t feeling anything. I eat half a cup every 3 hours every day until 2 hours before bedtime. Water has been surprisingly easy & I’ve had no trouble getting in 2 liters a day since a couple of days after surgery. I also get in at least 1 protein shake sometimes 2 in a day. I don’t take bariatric vitamins every day I take bariatric vitamins one day and calcium the next day. I’ll continue doing this unless my bloodwork says I’m deficient in something. Thicken your meals up or add some meat & let me know what it feels like. I’m curious to know if you get the same sensation/reaction as I did. -
Purée phase, not feeling anything?
Seahawks Fan replied to Synixer's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I hear you! If my foods not thick enough I can also basically drink it so I add something to it to thicken it. Soups I usually add a slice of bread or some whole wheat crackers. Definitely not the best nutrition but combined with good soup etc it makes for a more filling 1/2 a cup meal. Today I had chili & a burrito with hot sauce. The thicker the better. If you don’t want to add those things then maybe blend with less liquid until you reach the desired thickness. Puréed don’t mean it has to be liquid. -
Well alrighty then!
-
Yes 1/2 a cup puréed. Does this seem like to much to soon for some reason?
-
Yes I would & he would probably be delicious blended in it as long as it was only half a cup. That way y’all could try it to!
-
That all sounds good to me!
-
I liked the pocket fisherman. The RONCO SUPER BASS•O•MATIC ‘76 would be delicious with half a bottle of Taco Bell fire sauce! lol

I believe we live in a multiverse & somewhere there is a sun that runs on lost blubber (fat) keeping those who are less insulated warm. Must be nice to not be robbed on their monthly heating bill.

Not spicy, not interested! The birds can battle for it.
-
Wings sound good to. Weird that I want everything I eat to be spicy 🌶!

Yummy! Recipe please.
