Do people treat you different now that you're skinny?
Seahawks Fan replied to Marissa37's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Me too! I’ve seen all of them 100 times thanks to my kids. Just between you & me I would’ve seen them all 100 times if I had no kids. 😂 -
January 2018 Sleevers HERE
Seahawks Fan replied to PrincessDy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Lucky! I had surgery January 18th & I got so tired of puréed I started eating soft food last week but my dietitian said,”DON’T DEVIATE FROM THE PLAN”! Which translates to puréed until February 24th. I can’t wait to eat healthy little plates of delicious foods! -

Depression and feelings of giving up
Seahawks Fan replied to soready17's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Calm down! Relax! Half a cup of food every 3 hours no water 15 minutes before eating until 30 minutes after. Meals should take about 15 minutes to eat to eat. Drink only water & a protein shake if you need to. No snacks in between. Stay away from liquid calories. Eat only hearty non-liquid foods. Stick to the plan as best you can. Results have to come! Results at 6 months to a year are where you should see the most progress. A decision was made to do this so do your best to follow through with your commitment. You can’t give up early on & expect results down the road. It’ll just be another disappointment later. GET BACK ON HAT HORSE & RIDE ON! You’ve got this! -
Surgery in the morning!!

Just drink your water & walk. Things will improve each day. Happy healing! Congrats -
On the toilet preferably! 😂

Even if the scale is slow in just 4 weeks I can breathe & move so much easier & my clothes are loose. When the numbers on the scale are at a snails pace something is happening somewhere else. Inches are coming off & breathing is improved. Troublesome tasks become easier & easier each day. I can move around & get less winded so yeah numbers on the scale shouldn’t be the key focus at this point! Things are happening in other areas!

Does shopping count as exercise?
Seahawks Fan replied to GreenTealael's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I’m going to the mall to exercise my way to some new swimming trunks because mine are falling off after surgery I can’t even do laps. -
Heck no! I wore a swim shirt to the gym the last couple weeks because of my incisions doctor said I was good to swim but they just didn’t look like something people might want to see. Yesterday I said screw it and took the shirt off they don’t like it they can look the other way. I’m four weeks out today & Although I was told not to pay attention to WeightLoss on the scale until a few months after surgery I’ve already noticed my clothers are loser and I can’t swim laps without my swim trunks falling off. So it’s time to hit the mall and get some exercise like mentioning the shopping post and get me some new swim trunks! So it’s time to hit the mall and get some exercise like mentioning the shopping post and get me some new swim trunks!

I’m losing.......my mind because I can’t eat an entire prime rib or rack of lamb or a dozen slabs of BBQ ribs of 50 hot wings or an entire deep dish pizza! But then I look around at my family & realize that I’m here on earth hopefully for a prolonged amount of time so a half a cup of food every 3 hours will be just fine! Oops guess I went off topic so my dietitian recommend that I don’t weigh myself for at least 3 months. He said the body does Stranger Things (notice the innuendo) during the first few months & it’s different for each individual. Don’t be concerned with numbers until after this time.

This comment is just so Fluffy! 😂 -
It’s still to early to be concerned!
-
Now that sounds rough!

Seems to be the case more than eating to much. Sometimes we are in a hurry in this fast paced life. We have no choice but to SLOW DOWN and enjoy! Lesson learned I guess right?
-
May you be blessed with a non-puking face!
-
I haven’t had much chicken but I’ll take you at your word & be careful when I do have some.
-
That’s exactly what it was. It was not actual food but more like slimy phlegm. Not being gross just a realist.
-
I may not have eaten to much myself. I was in a hurry & ate the same amount as I have been eating when it happened. I just ate faster than usual. At any rate my fault & lesson learned. Excuses won’t undo what has already happened. Time to move forward & be more cautious from here on out.
-
Wow! That’s a great stay there! I never actually imagined I would throw up as good as I’ve felt since surgery.
-
Agreed! I’ll be 4 weeks out on Thursday & it’s definitely a concern getting sick even once this early on & so not worth the risk. I’m going to be sure to eat no more than half a cup moving forward.
-
WOW, you look great!!!!
Seahawks Fan replied to Walter.Sobchak's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I agree 💯%! By the way you look great! lol -
I don’t know because mine was 28 days.

Everyone has been downing the snacks around me & I have restrained myself until dinner. So I had a piece of pepperoni pizza with parmigiana cheese & half a bottle of Taco Bell fire sauce in the vitamix for dinner tonight. Of course my serving was half a cup but what a treat it was!

What are you treating yourself to once you hit your goal weight???
Seahawks Fan replied to xoxococojay's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I’m going to treat myself to a swift kick in the a** for all I had to go through to get there! Definitely not treating myself to any food that contributed to my starting weight to begin with.
