Lucky you that you only have to do liquids today. My doctors don't require the bowel purge! I don't have to do that. I was shocked and elated. I had a few cheats. Nothing too bad. But, yay me, I woke up with my period today and surgery is tomorrow. Ugggg

Hi everyone. Are you all ready? How have you all done on your diets?

Hi all. Hope you are all feeling good. Today is day nine of my pre op diet. I am feeling very weak and lightheaded. My sugar is currently 159. I really feel like crap.

I am nervous I won't lose weight like some people on here complain about. That's really my biggest worry.

By the way, I am originally from Miami and now (for now) live in Maryland.

Thank you!! Im Jennifer! I am excited, scared and anxious all at the same time. I am an only mom of 3 children and scared to die. I have to be honest about that. BUT, I also need to do this to live for my kids. My surgery is scheduled for 7 Am (6 AM check in at the hospital) I am having Laparoscopic Roux-en Y. I know if I had a sleeve done I would not keep the weight off. I love cake and there is no dumping with the sleeve, so, I opted for bypass.

I'm on day 7 of liquids. I did have a bit of a cheat yesterday because it was my daughters 7th birthday. But I'm right back at it today. I love seeing the scale go down!

Hi there. I am having gastric bypass Monday 4/3. I am nervous too, but not about the normal things like pain and whatnot. I know many people who have had the same surgery and have done amazing. I don't know anyone who has been unhappy with the surgery. That being said, I have read crazy stuff online about people who have bypass surgery and 3 months later, the claim the only lost 20 pounds. That really scares me.
