I know of two women who, due to erosion, had to have their band removed... both were thin, one already at goal., and each of their doctors replaced the original band with a VG. In addition to the VG being better for those with more internal fat, its also designed to reduce the possibility of erosion, etc, so more and more docs are using it. (My doc said he's using the VG on everyone nowadays) Barbara
