Hi.. i think that maybe you where eating and drinking at the same time after your operation.. this causes your stomach to expand and before you know it you can polish off 12 bowls of pasta. Don't give up! Keep going try to eat about half of what you usually eat. Thats what bypass has done for me. I eat everything i want but in smaller proportions. Even if it takes you 2 or 3 years you will loose weight. Try staying stong and going for healthy food dont fall back to your old habbits! Lots and lots of luck! Just downloaded the app so here it goes! Would love to meet new friends and people going through the same experiences Ive pretty much been overweight my entire life. At a young age i drooled over clothes that i dreamed would fit me some day. But it didn't happen. I decided to do the surgery because i see people succeed and i really hope to br in thier shoes someday. I did my surgery on 20/03 .. some 5 days ago and already the pounds are falling off. To anyone who hasn't done it yet.. Really its not that bad! Stay focused on your goal and motivate you're self! Definitely remember to take your laptop or a book .. or some sort of entertainment (to help keep your mind off the pain after surgery) also earphones when people call you it will be easier to talk for you.. don't forget your warm socks![emoji8] good luck!! Yaaay !! Can we be buddies? [emoji8] On day 6 or 7 after surgery you won't feel much pain hang in there! do you feel pain on your lower left side stomach when you walk a bit too much? Oh no definitely don't post pone! Go for it you deserve it Don't think on it too much.. i would suggest even keeping your mind busy with other things other than food and weight loss. People have different reviews on the VSG surgery.. i personally think this one will do it for you! think of a hobby that you like and try keeping your self busy with that don't think too much on it.. it will drive you crazy.. after a few months or even weeks you won't recognise you're self in the mirror.. i suggest that you maybe buy a sexy dress or a outfit that you hope to fit into someday in a size 10 or 8 and just hang it in your wardrobe.. make sure you see it everyday in a few months this is your goal.. stay focused.. other people who discourage you are 90% of the time too intimidated by the new hot you that they know you will become [emoji8] don't bat an eyelid ! Hey sweetie! Really really it's not all that bad and today i went out shopping with my daughter! It's so funny that you ask that! When i woke up from anastasia the first thing the nurse asked me was "on a scale of 1 - 10 how bad is your pain" and i answered 4 .. don't worry about a thing you'll be perfectly fine! I slept alot for the first 2 days i don't even remember them clearly hahah Also i should tell you something very important.. the first day or 2 you will feel like you've made a massive mistake and you will regret it. But thats the bit of you that tells you to take a second slice of cake and another chocolate now... push through it ok hun! Don't let that side of you trap you.. many people have lost tons of weight and kept it off. In hospital when i wanted to walk i would feel a sharp pain on the lower left side of my stomach that was very unpleasant. Thats due to no bowel movements. But you won't nesaseraly experience that. This was my first surgery [emoji16] I can promise you by day 4 / 5 you won't feel pain or have any discomfort (except maybe using the toilet) Sent from my SM-G935F using BariatricPal mobile app
