  1. I had surgery on 3/20 and was doing really well - good food choices, gym, exercise, water intake - then about two weeks ago, my mother passed away. Aside from the obvious emotional issues, I had to travel across the country unexpectedly and spend 12 days without my own kitchen, food options, etc.. I didn't track anything during that time, but I know there were days when I went over 1000 calories and I definitely ate some carbs when I saw them. I am now back at home, trying to get back on track. It's hard. I haven't been back to the gym yet. I will be going to see my therapist and back to my WLS support group next week, but could use some advice/motivation/success stories between now and then. Here's hoping I get up early for the gym before work tomorrow.
  2. Ok, ok The REAL tracking starts tomorrow.
  3. I had surgery on 3/20 and am down about 37lbs total but have not lost any weight since 4/10! I feel slightly better seeing other comments about early stalls here. I haven't been tracking calories or actual total protein. I REALLY hate tracking - as someone else mentioned, it's never worked for me in the past, but maybe it is a good idea now? I will be upping my water intake, so hopefully that will kick start things again.

    WTH! Hungry?!

I am having the same issue - feeling extremely hungry several times a day just 5 days after surgery. In fact, it is the reason I joined this forum. It is nice to know that it's not just me In my case, I am starving, eat a little bit from the full liquid diet list (list a few sips or spoonfuls), feel uncomfortable then the cycle starts over. I have struggled to get the recommended amount of liquid down. It seems so strange that I am SO hungry but can't manage to get more than about 300 calories down per day. I am trying to only weigh myself once a week, but it seems to be slow going considering I am walking at least a mile each day and following the rules. Confusing times.
