Resource Beneprotein Instant Protein Powder
twinmommie replied to 1GirlNamedTiff's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have added it to pudding and soft things like that and didn't notice a taste at all. I don't like the smell when I open the can. If you add it to soups make sure they cool some or else it will clump up. -
anyone felt this before?
twinmommie replied to lynnie77's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think I feel the same thing. Maybe I am just more aware of food in my stomach now?? -
Just a question...I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow afternoon at 2:45. I have to drink a bottle of magnesium citrate sometime today. I was wondering if it would be too late to drink it about 8 or 9 pm tonight? :confused2: I am a night owl and will probably be up until 12 or 1 so I am not really worried about it keeping me up all night but it might. I doubt I will actually sleep much tonight anyway... Any of you all that have already had to drink this, I would really appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance

I know exactly what you mean. I had my first fill on Friday and up to that point, I didn't feel like I had any restriction (well not since I had been able to eat regular foods) but on Sat. night I ate one too many bites and my body told me no way! I never did have anything come up but my mouth was so full of saliva like I was going to get sick that I just kept spitting and spitting. In addition to that it hurt! So I was so glad too that I finally knew what it felt like and to know that I really had some restriction!

I would absolutely do it all over again. And I had some of the same thoughts while I was waiting to go into surgery. I think that is normal. I had no pain, no gas and only felt like I had done too many sit ups. My stomach was just a little sore. I got my first fill today and I am excited about having this tool to help me reach my goal. I don't have any health issues yet but by looking at my mom and her history of obesity related health issues, I knew it would only be a matter of time.

I was banded on June 10th and at my two week post op appt. I was OKed to ride a bike. But I don't know if that is the norm or not. You might want to ask first.

I agree with the wearing of heavy pants and filling your pockets. I have even heard of people putting a roll of quarters in each pocket! -
First Goal Met!! Almost to Onederland!
twinmommie replied to cookienay's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
That is awesome!! I was banded June 10th and am looking forward to oneland too! Although I am about 24 pounds away . Congratulations on your weightloss!!! -
I have only had the band since June 10th but one of the things that I think is something that is very important is to mentally prepare yourself for the post-op diet for the first few weeks after surgery. Commit to yourself that you follow your doctor's orders so that you can heal properly from the surgery.

I have found that the protein water is great! It really does help when I want to snack. It takes the edge off I guess lol -
I am soooo glad you asked this question! I was wondering the same thing. I was banded on June 10th and have lost 9 pounds since surgery. I am at 223 right now we are basically right there together!

Zumba-How long after surgery?
twinmommie replied to fivestar's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love ZUMBA too!! It took me a while to get down some of the moves LOL...I haven't started back with Zumba yet but I feel pretty confident that I could do it next week. I have been walking each evening and getting in about 8,000-9,000 steps...working back up to my 10,000.
