I was sleeved on April 26th. When I got my first period post op, I felt nauseous and bloated which is normal for me. I found hot drinks easier to digest and soups. I also found that I needed to walk more than I had on previous days. Is there a possibility your constipated, if so a mild laxative may help you and reduce your period symptoms. I personally had trouble digesting dairy products when I had my period. Try different foods. Even if it's just two mouthfuls see how your body reacts to it. For my protein, I am now able to eat one scrambled egg in the morning, and have a protein drink during the day as a minimum. It does take me all day to drink the protein drink, but at least I know the minimum protein intake is being met. I hope this helps you. Good luck!

I'm 43 and the aches and pains are exactly why I'm doing this surgery next Wednesday. I keep reading the success stories and I get excited thinking that might be me next year.....praying that it will be me next year as I don't want to fail. I need to get healthy. As you stated, this surgery will be a miracle for me. All the very best for Monday!

I know exactly how you feel! I'm the same. The only way I've been able to cope is by reading the successful posts on line. This helps me soooo much and turns my negative thoughts into positive. Mine isn't until the 26th, but I'm already having sleepless nights scared and anxious. But you can do this. Change is difficult... but this is going to be a magnificent change to our lives. We just need to focus on how much better our health will be. Wishing you all the very best xx

I find my Apple Watch much more useful than my Fitbit. It gives you alerts throughout the day if your sitting for too long, or when you have reached your goal/s. The other great thing is while your exercise you can answer phone calls without trying to race for your mobile. I am a health worker and find it great for when I'm on call. Plus that Apple Watch is easy to change the bands.
