Celebrating a big thing without food
Big2Tiny replied to Big2Tiny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hehe oh should have mentioned I live in Iceland, no condolea og carriageride in the park possible. We don't have those things, but we could go whalewatching or something. -
My Bmi is 50.8 and my surgeon said no problem, he only asked me why I chose RNY and I told him I had done the research and RNY had the greatest weightloss and that it is a better choice for those who have acid reflux. And that was it, if anything he seemed happy about me doing the research not just blindly jumping in. And oh yeh he wanst me to do 3 weeks of preop diet instead of 2.

Thank you so much. Good news, my prayers have been answered. Shortly after I was talking to my mother and she said her and my father were willing to support me by lending me the money for the rest. And not only that, my surgeon contacted me and asked if I was ready to have the surgery june 13th. And another problem also got fixed out of the blue and just all my problems vanished like morningdew in the hot sun. So looks like I am going in june 13th I´ll probably start my program around 1. may and pre-op diet 3 weeks before the surgery. I am so exitec and happy, it is finally happening

Big2Tiny replied to cdeisroth's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Oh I am so ready, only in my country it used to be only awailable at one place and that required going to the insurance way. But not so long ago another clinic opened that does the surgery and there people can pay themselves. I just found out about a few days ago, immidiatly I made an appointment. -

Oh I am so happy for you and I loved reading that. I am about same height, age and same weight before you had the surgery and i am having my first consultation next tuesday. Hopefully I get to have it as soon as possible because I am paying for it myselve. Gave up on the insurance way to do it, would have been a minimum 1.5 years from now to get it paid by them. And I have already waited 4 years at least, since I had waited over 2 years to get it and I had at least one more years to go when I got pregnant in febrúary 2015. Done with the waiting, now it my time.
