  1. Thank you for your response! It's comforting to know someone else has had the same symptoms. I'm trying to walk and drink. Balancing that with the pain is a challenge, but I am making it happen. Thank you again!
  2. So I had my surgery on March 23 and was discharged the next day (yesterday). I have a lot of pain and pressure in my left side, under my ribs and in my chest. Even breathing is uncomfortable at times. Laying flat on my back helps. Sometimes i get pain in my shoulder too (which I've read a lot about). The gas is horrible. Every time I take a drink of water, I feel the air moving around and sometimes it prompts a burp. Other times, it's just annoying and uncomfortable aches. It's also hard for me to get up and down due to the pain where my staples are. I've checked the incision sites and there's no redness or leaking. I thought I would be able to recover quickly because I had a c-section with my last child and I didn't have to take any pain meds and I was back to work (only a few hours per day/week) 2 1/2 weeks after delivery. But this, all of this is extremely painful. I know everyone is different, but I can't find any threads on here that are even similar to my situation. Has anyone else experienced any of my symptoms?
