I'm feeling you! I was very uncomfortable my first week home and friend who had the same surgery told me to take a walk and surprise it actually helped. So now as soon as I feel a little of anything different I just start moving around and it passes. Hopefully this will help you also!

Hi Sorry that you are experiencing that. Have you spoken to your surgeon? They are the best to give you an appropriate answer. All the best!

JULY SLEEVERS- How are you doing?
Peeblejam replied to dreamingsmall's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi I don't weigh myself at all. I don't even own a scale! I have been using old clothes to gauge how I'm doing. I don't compare myself to anyone else as my starting weight is not as much as others so rate of loss will be different. I'm female and 52+ so losing at a different rate. Yesterday I wondered if I eating too much. I was feeling very hungry and had to take extra meal but still within 60-80 G protein. I reflected in what I did as to why I felt sooo hungry, and remembered eating something sweet on Sunday at a picnic and a little taste yesterday. So last night I decide not to sabotage myself and lay off sweets as I think it got my juices going and making me hungry. I believe if I do the right things I will be great. All the best. You can do it! -
JULY SLEEVERS- How are you doing?

Hi. Try chewing each bite 32 times. I actually put the fork/ spoon down after each bite. The slower I eat the more full I get and less uncomfortable. Sometimes when I feel hungry I focus on my fluids instead (drinking it). I really try to remember why I'm in this process to begin with, and talk to myself about not going back to square one in 2 years. All the best on your Journey -

When to Start Resistance Training?
Peeblejam replied to SandraD_PDX's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congratulations on your surgery! I'm 3 weeks out. My surgeon released/ removed restrictions from week 2. How about just asking your surgeon when to start. At the end of the day we are not your surgeon and we all respond to things differently. Better to be safe than sorry. Your surgeon will be happy to fear that you are ready to move forward. Just ask All the best on your journey! -

July 17th surgery too! My surgeon told me if I can get a month take it ! It's a big change for my body, plus I'm on my feet all day at work. He told that first 2 weeks I'm probably going feel like napping by mid day. -
To tell or not to tell..that is the question?

I'm scheduled tomorrow morning! My household was informed from the start. My extended family 2 weeks to 1 month ago and a couple of co workers 2 days before my leave of absence. It's your decision. Does these people ask your opinion or really care what you think prior to them making a life changing decision? All the best on your Journey!
