  1. I'm 38, I had my surgery 6/12/17, 5 days after my birthday. I'm only down 46 pounds since surgery. I feel like I'm failing at this.

Hi there! I'm 12 weeks post op RNY, and I'd loved a Bari-Buddy! I have my best friend who I walk with, but she doesn't understand the struggles of having had this surgery. I've been in a stall for 3 weeks, ever since I started exercising more. It's become very frustrating. Today when I weighed, I only weigh on Mondays, I actually gained. I'm so sad that I'm failing at this. I'm on Facebook as Jennie Homer - Smith. Feel free to friend me.

    Stall

I'm 12 weeks out from RNY Gastric Bypass, and I've been in a stall for 3 weeks now. I had consistently been averaging 5 pounds lost a week, until 3 weeks ago. Then it dropped to 2 pounds, now today I weigh myself, I only weigh in Monday's, and I've gained almost a pound back. I'm so frustrated, and afraid I'm going to fail at this, and it looks like I am. I recently started exercising more, and that makes this weight loss stall even more frustrating. I am doing an hour of water aerobics or an hour of walking, approx. 3 miles, 3 days a week. I participated in my first 5k last weekend. I don't know what in doing wrong. If anyone has any advice, I'm all ears! Please help me!
  4. I am going through the steps required by my insurance company prior to having gastric bypass surgery. I would like to find a mentor in the Kansas City Area. I am a 37 yr old female, however; age, sex, race make no difference to me in my mentor. I would like someone local, that I can text with when I have questions, or need help. Thank you for reading, have a great day!!
  5. I'm going through the steps needed for my insurance to be approved for Gastric Bypass, however; I am not having 2nd thoughts about having the surgery. I need to know if this is normal?? I am worried about how much my life is going to change, how much my body is going to change. I have been overweight since I was a child, about 3rd grade, so I have no idea what it's like to be skinny. I worry about how my husband will react/feel about my new body. Will he still love me/be attracted to me? Can anyone tell me if these worries and 2nd thoughts are normal prior to surgery?
