    Resolution of Sleep Apnea

I had the same problem with dry mouth. I stopped using it about a 1 month post op. I felt worse using the mask. Right now don't feel I need it. I do plan to do a sleep study to confirm.

    Isopure Unflavored Protein

I use the isopure with water and about 1/2 of the suggested serving or less of the Bolthouse Farms smoothies, just to get some flavor. You really have to use the ones lower in calories and sugars otherwise the sugars are too much. Then add water to thin it out to your taste.

    What am I doing wrong?

I agree with the increased protein and the water intake. I was doing everything "right" and stalling than I read about the effect water has in the weight loss process and made sure I was going the 64oz or more a day. It really makes a difference.

    Male Post Op Advice

Hey Mersh I'm 4 mos post op sleeve. HW 367 SW 343 CW 286. The 2nd week post op is hard, but you're doing the right thing. I just wanted something solid at that point. The isopure is great for protein. I did those and GNC lean shakes. The key to the cravings for me was spreading the liquid protein and water throughout the day. I never let too much time pass before having a few sips so I didn't feel the cravings too bad. As you get to the purée stage, there are some good recipes around. I found one for salmon mousse that I still use. Keep trying new foods you'll be surprised what you may like that you didn't before. Good Luck

    Cruise "Mocktails"

Hey I just came back from a cruise. Sticking to the protein and a workout schedule helped a lot. I tried lots of food but made sure to stop when I knew eating more would hurt. In terms of drinks, I avoided the sugary mixes and have bartenders muddle real fruit into drinks. Like a few orange slices or pineapple into vodka. It gave it flavor without the crazy cals from the drink mixes they use for daiquiri and coladas. Of course if this is your first time drinking go very very slowly, it does hit fast. Enjoy your trip!

    Going on a cruise....

Hey I'm a March sleever and going on a cruise first week of July. My plan is gym every day. I arranged with the cruise line to bring protein shakes on board, and checked menus to plan where and what I can eat. Checkout cruisingwithgambee.com to research what's served in your ship. You will have plenty of options to do mainly proteins and veggies. Good luck and enjoy!
  9. I have the same problem. It's to the point I'm not using the CPAP abd doing another sleep study to see if I still need it

    March 2017, RNY'ers

I have surgery 3/9/17 We are all moving along a diff ENT paces. You've lost and will continue. You will get to your goal. Track everything and make sure you're getting the water. I was not drinking the 64oz. And was starting to stall. Once I concentrated on the water I started losing again. Good luck
