Maynardville, TN Surgery 3/8/17
-
Has anyone from or close to Knoxville had the surgery done? I am 8 days post-op. I'd like to connect with some local people.
-
Hey I'm in Maynardville. How are you doing since your surgery? I just had mine done last week.
-
I didn't have this problem at all. You must be getting air in your drink as you drink it. Try exhaling through your nose before you swallow and see if that helps.
-
Good luck with your surgery. I am & days post-op. And my surgery went seamlessly.

Sleeved yesterday! (15 March)

My nurses were very pleased with the frequency for me. I didn't have any issues. As doingit4me2017 said, it's because you're fluids through your IV. Do you get to go home today? I had my surgery last Wednesday, when I went home, it slowed some but if you're drinking the 64 fl oz of water, not much until you get used to it. -
Are you up and walking or rocking? I know walking helped me a ton. I had my surgery last Wednesday. I hope you start feeling better soon.

I am one week post-op, so I am allowed to have scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, and Beans. I've never eaten cottage cheese. How do you eat it? Do you eat anything with it?

Thank you all so much!

I am on spring break this week but I will return on Monday. It was challenging for me at the hospital to only have 1 oz of water an hour because my mouth was so dry. It's also hard to get all 64 fl oz of water. You have to space it out just right.

Hey! My name is Jennifer and I started my journey over a year ago. I was supposed to have the surgery in June but I didn't get to have it done then. I changed programs to Foothills Weight Loss Center with Dr. Colquitt in Knoxville, TN and I'm so glad I did. I had my surgery March 8 and I just had my one week post-op visit. I lost six pounds in six days. My surgery went seamlessly, so I'm blessed. I'm excited for the rest of this journey to unfold. I am 30 years old and a public school teacher. I went through a divorce in November of 2015 and that made up my mind to have this done. I have been ready for the hard work and to help build my confidence. It'll be nice to meet new people going through the same thing I am.

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
Jinyinjin replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Mine was ultimately getting divorced. I realized that I had let myself eat too much and I wasn't the most healthy. So I decided to look at alternatives because I've tried every diet out there. -
Thank you. I will say a prayer for you!! Good luck it's coming soon.
