I will be honest I had the same idea running around in my head when I booked my Surgery but as long as you are 100% Honest on your Questionnaire you should be fine. They will ask you the medical info no less than 5 times before heading into surgery. The Cardiologist comes in after the chest X-ray and does a Ekg your Blood Pressure is checked many times. I know that if you go with a company such as Bariatric Pal and cant heve the surgery you will be refunded so what do you have to lose besides weight. Worst case is a 4 day vacation to Tijuana.

I tried to get the surgery in the US and of course my insurance denied me. I am borderline diabetic, I have to take medicine for high cholesterol and heart disease runs in my family. I have been yo yo dieting my entire life and I needed to do something. I noticed that a few of my coworkers were looking slimmer and found out that they all went to the same doctor in Mexico. I honestly struggled with this decision for over a year and just had the gastric sleeve surgery on 3/15. I'm home recovering and even though I'm barely starting this journey; I'm hopeful and think I made the right decision. The doctors and nurses in Tijuana were so good to me and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. In fact I left there making new friends. Yes it is easier to get it done in Mexico, but they still test you prior and make sure your healthy enough for the surgery. I plan on going back there to get more work done if all goes well here. I wish the doctors out here would see that this surgery isn't an easy fix; it's a life changing operation.
