I had surgery 7/10 My instructions were to get 64 fl oz, or greater of fluids. I managed to get down a half of a protein shake, 2 jello and a couple glasses of water. I am sipping slow and can tell I'm not having any problems. I am not nauseated etc; It is important to get your fluid in because the body is healing. etc. I am walking 10 min a hour, in the house, so I won't get blood clots. I hope this helps. I still have quite a ways to go today to get that 64 oz in, but I'm going to do my best.

I came home from the hospital on July 11th weighing 7 lbs more then when I went in. I know it is water retention and swelling and bloat. I'm not concerned about it. I think it will drop off in a few days.

Good idea about taking it slow. Better to be safe then sorry. I don't get purred foods until after July 26th....UGH

Once you're asleep, all is well. Just get there. I'm so thankful it is behind me. I am uncomfortable, but nothing that I can't live with for a while. It feels good to have that lapland out. Good Luck, keep us posted -

Had my surgery on Monday. Doing Well, but some pain. Because I was a conversion, more had to be done. I am glad the lap band is gone. I am having a little left shoulder pain, I kind of feel like I have been ran over by a truck, but, really not that bad. -

Just finished or will by tomorrow my 3 day liquid. First day very hard. Today not so bad. My surgery is tomorrow at 11:00am. Wishing all you July surgeries a great result and speedy recovery. -
Sylvia...Thanks for your suggestions. Being the fanatic I am, I also have protein powder and everything coming out of my cupboards. LOL We do not have Public here but I can check for that Rockin brand somewhere or order it on-line. How long before you can go on soft foods? How long were you in the hospital? Are you feeling well since its 17 days?

I have told only my sister, husband, and one friend. People would think I'm crazy because I have such a Low BMI. I have had the lapland and am converting. I was fighting 60 lbs over and over. No one really knew I had the lapland either. I am nervous taking such a big step, but, the thought of going back to how I was so obsessed with dieting, food, etc; and getting my health problems back, pushed me forward. My surgeon also, encouraged me. Best wishes to all of you and hopefully I will be seeing some posts about how you are doing. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to follow, etc; on this board. -
Hello everyone My surgery is tomorrow also. Very nervous but excited. Going from band to sleeve. I am on liquids until surgery. I go in tomorrow at 9:15, Surgery is at 11:00. Good luck to all of you!

I am having my surgery tomorrow. My Dr said I will be on Protein Drinks etc; no food until my post op until 7/26/17. I am on liquid now and have been since yesterday. Ugh.... I will be watching your post because I'm going to want to know what to eat. I google everything, but its good to get ideas from other people who are going though it.

I am having my Sleeve done July 10th. I am having it though a surgeon in California. I am kind of nervous because my BMI is lower then most. I have had the band about 7 years and have been having trouble. I am only 15 lbs away from my goal weight. I was never successful at loosing weight prior to the lap band. Some people are concerned that I have such a Low BMI and am getting the sleeve. My history tells me, I would go right back to where I was. I have worked hard to get where I am. Naturally, if I was this weight and no lap band, I would not even consider WLS. Any input would be appreciated. Best of luck to all you July sleevers.
