Yes the yogurt is pretty good and it seemed to agree with my tummy also. Just don't try to add any powered protein to it ...lol -

All of my 4 incisions are in a row horizontally across my belly about an inch above my navel. I don't have any high up like that. I can see how that would be easy to irritate. -

I smiled when I read your post because it sounded a lot like my husbands family. I married a Peruvian, and there are many in his family that are over weight. Most or a lot of their diet has a high amount of starchy carbs. I asked my dh to please not tell anyone about my surgery and that lasted about one day. Before we even left Mexico he had told his older brother Luis. At first i was going to be angry with him, but then I took a minute to think before I spoke. I am glad that i did. I realized how selfish it was of me to not share my experience with him or anyone else who could benefit greatly from it. His brother must be somewhere between 300-350 pounds. He has a hard time getting around and many health issues. He is now looking into WLS. My stance right now is I am not going to make it public knowledge, but I will share with those that ask and could benefit from some type of WLS. I sure do like the chats we all have together online so I can imagine how much your friends appreciate you. -

Glad to hear work is going ok for you. I noticed today that my brain still isn't 100% so maybe it is a good thing I took this week off. It took me forever to update our budget this morning, my brain just seems foggy. So you have told everyone about you surgery? That is great. I wish I could be so open. I am working on it still. I bet you would be a great coach!! You seem to have a very caring personality. -

Thank you @Sweet as peaches. I have been sitting here trying to update the budget from all the spending me and dh did in Mexico. I need to make a grocery run and I am going to try and find some of that Cocotein that @mishyk posted about. I will catch up with you all later today. -

Do you just drink it like water or can you also mix it with other things like coffee and yogurt? If it tastes good I may just use it as my water and forgo mixing extra protein into other things. I am going to go and try to find it today. -

Ok so I mixed half a scoop of powdered protein with my 4oz of yogurt. OMG it was gross. 😝 It was supposed to be unflavored, but definitely not! So I ended up throwing it away . I will have to try the powder in something else. I did managemto get 3oz of the plain low fat vanilla yogurt down. It felt and tasted heavenly to me after a week of nothing but clear liquids. I am finding it hard to wait 30 minutes to start drinking again. I have to keep reminding myself. I lost 8 pounds this first week. I am happy with that. I was fully prepared for a smaller number so I was pleasantly surprised. My dh went back to work today so I am here alone just me and my little pooch Tink. I am a little lost as to what to do. I know what I should be doing I have a list of things to get accomplished, but I just seem to be lacking motivation today. It is raining outside so maybe that is contributing to my lazy mood. I hope everyone is having a good Monday morning 😃 -

Good luck on your first day back at work @Newme17. I feel like I could probably go back to work tomorrow if I needed to., but since I have so much sick leave saved up I decided to just go ahead and take two weeks just in case. I will go back on the 30th after Memorial Day. Have a great day tomorrow and goodnight. -

It was pretty cool. I just couldn't keep watching after I saw the gauze go inside. My liver looked good and I noticed my surgeon did not have to use a retractor to move it. The video just shows what the camera showed inside. Well what i saw thus far anyway. -

Ok that is good to know it is normal. My surgeon video taped my surgery and gave it to me on a thumb drive. I tried to watch it tonight and had to stop after about 5 minutes in. Something about knowing the tissue that was bleeding was mine was making me queezy . Seeing him lift my liver up and using gauze inside my abdomen was just too much. I found myself thinking I hope he didn't leave any inside me. I really want to watch the whole thing. Maybe in a few weeks I'll be able to do it. -

Mine are dry also and I have one smaller incision that looks almost completely healed. I think as long as there is no pain and no redness or oozing they are fine. I have lots of bruising around my incisions. Anyone else have this? -

On week three I am allowed puréed meats and soups and fruit smoothies. I will be sticking with mostly berries because they have less sugar. -

My nut said that by introducing soft foods more slowly it reduces the risk of acid reflux becoming a problem. I will post a photo each week of my plan it has 9 stages so 9 weeks post op before on regular foods fully. I don't think one plan is better than another just that every doc/nut has their own way of doing things. I am planning to be fairly rigid and follow mine very closely, even though I am envious of some of the things others are allowed to eat. -

The iced coffee sounds great, but cold isn't working well with my sleeve right yet. I will just have to experiment some with the powders. I just hate to mess it up and waste food. -

@Newme17 your plan is a couple weeks faster then mine or rather my plan adds fewer new foods each week. This is my week two foods
