  1. So glad you were able to eat something today!!
  2. Good late morning gals. I had rough night, but I finally managed to have a significant BM. It has left me feeling sore this morning and I am still having some cramping. I am going to lay low today and hopefully I will feel better as the day goes on. I am thinking about grilling a little chicken for my dh tonight. @Sweet as peaches Didn't you eat some grilled chicken? Did you blend or just chew it really really good? I am thinking I may try a little thigh meat. I'll cook up some squash with onions and butter to go with it. Back to work tomorrow. I hope I am feeling better. I hope everyone having a good Memorial Day. Thank you @Newme17 for your tribute to the servicemen and women.
  3. I do and I keep it at 4 oz or 117g. I still can't always eat all of that portion.

    Post op complications

I understand the worry. I think if it was a leak you would feel much sicker. Chest and shoulder pain definitely sound like gas. Try not to worry unless you get further symptoms.

    Post op complications

It sounds like classic gas symptoms to me. Make sure you eat slowly and try not to eat more than 3-4 ounces. I am measuring my food because I suck at estimating.
  6. I wish we were neighbors I would bring you a plate of food and we could have some gab fests.
  7. Thank you @Sweet as peaches. Yes it is parmigiana cheese. lol on the lick a phone... I love it. you have such a great sense of humor🤣

    Post op complications

I burped a lot and I still do. I think it is easy to swallow air with our sleeves. Pain can happen if we eat too much or too fast. I hope all you have is gas.
  9. lol I almost did that once. I was on my way to church and realized I still had my slippers on. I turned around and went back home..lol I felt tired last night. I went to bed before midnight and I am usually a night owl. It could just be fatigue or hormone levels.
  10. I started cleaning out my closet tonight. I had a lot of size 3x and 18-20 stuff that I know I will never wear again. It felt good to bag those clothes up and make room for some new stuff in the not so distant future. I also found a ton of different sized jeans I had saved, I have several in size 12, 10, and 8. The 14's I am wearing now are getting loose so it won't be long.
  11. I haven't tried to eat veggies yet, but soon. I am going to make a veggie smoothie tomorrow. isnt it amazing how fast we get full?
  12. A stricture is when scar tissue narrows the opening into the stomach. The symptom are nausea and vomiting. I don't have any personal experience with this and I am only repeating what I have read on this forum. I sure hope your issues get better soon.
  13. Wow, that looks fabulous!!
  14. Have you actually vomited? Were you able to drink and eat at any point or have you always felt the nausea? If your amount have been increasing and the nausea getting better I would think it might be normal and your stomach is just taking a little longer to heal. I would probably call the doctor because you could be getting a stricture?
  15. Ok here are the photos of my salmon dinner. I served myself 4 oz, but could only eat half of it. My stomach was happy, but full.
  16. Have you asked your doctor to prescribe you something for the nausea? I know you must feel awful. Maybe try some Imodium for the diarrhea if your doc says it is ok. I'm sorry I am not much help. I think a phone call to the doc might be a good idea. I am so sorry you are having a rough time.
  17. Wow @Sweet as peaches you ate chicken. Glad it agreed with your stomach. Did you shredd it up? Sorry to hear about the allergies. My dh suffers with hem also this time of year. I did find an elliptical and got a great deal also. We got a military discount so it worked out good.
  18. I am going to try this thank you.
  19. Praise the Lord! Still nothing here... I need to try some of those green bombs. How do I make one?

    VENTING - can vs should

I will agree that sometimes it is hard to not get impatient with some people when what they are asking seems obvious. I think we are all guilty of this, but I personally want to remember to treat people with kindness as I don't know what they are going through on a daily basis. This may well be the only support they have. I don't think we should coddle them, but find a nice way to correct them if needed.
  21. I had my surgery on May 15th and will go back on the 30th so two weeks. Honestly I probably could have gone back to work this week, but I was glad to have the time to adjust to my new eating habits at home. As I have gotten my protein amounts up my energy has gotten even better so it was a win win for me.
  22. Good morning ladies. I am sitting here sipping my protein shake and planning my day. My grand daughter will be hanging out with my dh and I for a few hours and we are going to go shopping for an elliptical machine. Hopefully I will come home with something suitable. I have been trying to walk at least 2 miles a day, but I am hoping this machine will make my workouts a little harder. I am going to try the salmon tonight and see how it goes. I think my body is ready for some meat. I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

    So hungry

Since you are on purée have you tried the ricotta bake, tuna salad, scrambled eggs, puréed beans with cheese, soups blended. those are just a few suggestions that might help you feel full. Also baked Salmon chewed well is allowed on my plan. I hope this helps. Hang in there and be strong.
  24. You are doing fine. I think as long as you don't over do it with exercise, and keep increasing your levels each day you will be good. I do have more energy now that I am hitting 65g of protein.
  25. I was the same way. Room temp or warm/hot was what my stomach could handle. Tomorrow will be two weeks post op and it is getting better.
