    Progress Pictures

You look fabulous!! Such an inspiration!!
  3. Good for you, great job on the lost pounds and starting an exercise program.
  4. I feel pressure in my upper chest. I will also burp, or get hiccups. I measure all of my food so that even if I don't get the signals of being full right away, I won't over eat if I finish my plate.
  5. You must feel incredible! Congrats on your awesome progress ☺️
  6. I understand you very well. I was a low BMI when I was sleeved on May 15. I has spent the last 10 years going up and down my highest was 255. I had managed to get down to about 220 and was on my way up again when I started researching WLS. I have an auto immune thyroid disorder and type 2 diabetes. Even with these co-morbidities my insurance would not cover the surgery so I went to Mexico to have it done. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I have no regrets. I have not been under 200 pounds in over 9 years and I am 194 today! I think getting this done now before your body starts to break down is very smart. As long as you have done your research and are 100% ready to make the lifestyle changes that will be required, then I say go for it. Don't let the non-supportive people get into your head. Ignore them.

    11 Days Post Surgery

Congrats on your surgery and your pounds loss. I had a fairly easy time healing after surgery and in some ways this can hard because we tend to forget we just had major surgery. I am guilty of over doing it a little during the first week post-op. I wish you continued success! I hoe the drain comes out soon!
  8. Well you have lost 19 pounds in a month. I actually think that is pretty good. If you are sticking to your plan and reaching your protein and fluid amounts you should continue to do well. I am not a veteran, but I don't see where anything you are doing is wrong.
  9. Congrats on getting your surgery. I was sleeved in Mexico on May 15. Monday will be 3 weeks for me. I am 5'8" and I am hoping to get down to 150.

    Feeling successful

Congrats on your loss. You are doing great. Do you have a goal weight in mind?
  11. I am having a pain tonight on my left side. I am wondering if I did too much reaching today at work. I guess theses little aches andpains are normal right now. I may take a Tylenol if it keeps up. my dh is leaving tomorrow for a two week training exercise with his guard unit to Fort Drum. So I will be flying solo the next couple of weeks. I went shopping on my way home and it was hard buying for just one person for meals considering how much I can eat at a time..lol.. I am so glad it is Friday and I have the next three days off!
  12. I had a two week supply that my surgeon gave me when we left mexico. I ran out and just bought the same stuff from Walmart. I just got the generic and it seems to be working. I have never had reflux problems so I hope it stays that way,
  13. That chili sounds yummy! Can you post a photo...lol...
  14. That is great to hear @patty0715. I keep reading that the quicker we can get our calories up to 600-800 the better. I have also read that if we start exercising more than walking we need add more calories. So happy the scale is moving for you.
  15. I agree, it is looking thin and beautiful!
  16. oh no. I am praying the doctors are able to clear that blood clot..asap. So sorry to hear this happened @Newme17
  17. Are you taking an antiacid @Sweet as peaches? I am taking one every morning as a precaution and so far so good. Good for you on the walking yesterday!! I hope you have a good day today!
  18. I am trying to phase out the liquid protein, but it is hard to actually eat enough to meet 60-80g. So I had one shake for breakfast and a coffee, then I was sipping on a Gatorade zero till lunch. For lunch I had half of a turkey cheeses burger so about 2oz. No bun of course. I sipped on the rest of the Gatorade until I got home from work. Then I had some smoked turkey sausage sautéed with onions, bell peppers, and spinach, about 3.5oz and a cup of coffee. That's my day thus far. I will have 1 oz of cheese as a snack before bed. so I guess I ate more real meals than you did, but maybe the amounts are similar? I am tracking for now because I really want to know how I am doing with my macros. I really can't wait to eat almonds and pistachios. They are my favorite😊 P.S. I thought I would add my macros for today 65g protein 40 g fat 21g carb 722 calories
  19. Sorry to hear about the pain in your side @Newme17. I haven't had any pain, but I have noticed there is any area below my incisions where my stomach feels numb? It is weird. I have not eaten anything crunchy yet, glad it worked out for you. Those pretzels look yummy.
  20. That dinner sounds like it was fabulous and healthy too. I had leftover chicken so nothing spectacular. enjoy your shows. I'm off to bed now as I have an early start tomorrow. Goodnight ladies.
  21. So today my system has gone way over to the other side and I have literally been running to the bathroom. This is complicated by the fact that my lab is a bio- control lab with a quarantine facility. Most of my work is inside quarantine which requires me to suit up before entering and strip it off on exiting. There is no restroom in quarantine.... Y'all would have been laughing at me today if you could have seen me trying to get out of my suit, I am sure I set a record for. Quickest exit from quarantine... 😂🤣
  22. I am sure others will find it helpful also. I do have access to my nut anytime I have any questions, and I have the Big Book on VSG, by Alex Brecher. I might email her with some questions because I really think having 9 phases is kind of confusing and unnecessary. I like all of the explanations and the shopping list of ideas. I have been combining my week 3 & 4 since there are only a few additional items in week 4. One thing I do need to do is make an appointment with my pcp at 3 months to get my blood work done.
  23. Thank you for posting those papers @newme17. It has been very helpful for me.
  24. They don't know. It went fine. I had the soup and was able to eat most of it. Thank you!
