As a newbie I'm asking "What kinda site is this?"

Best tip I can offer, if you click on someone’s name, then on the three dots to the right of their name, you can put them on ignore/block -

Definitely get your doctor's/nurse's advice but this is what mine had me do in that situation: 1) one tablespoon of milk of magnesia every hour for up to five hours 2) take a stool softener (I now take one daily before bed) 3) add benefiber (or similar) to my daily routine. I use the dissolvable powder in one of my bottles of water each day. 4) make sure you're drinking the amount of water they have told you to drink each day (my dr.'s requirement is 64 oz/day) -

I didn't have any issues for the first several days. Glad you're feeling well! Keep drinking water and moving! -

Yes, if you start to feel pressure in your chest, stop eating!

Thanks! I think you're correct. Took some Gas-X a couple times and haven't had the pain since.

Just had RNY by Dr. Baranov on Monday (4/4/17). Highly impressed with him and his staff. -
Had bypass surgery on Monday. Trying to drink 64 ozs of fluids/day. Have sharp pains on my side. Not real bad, just like getting a stitch in your side. Only lasts a couple seconds. Am I sipping too much at one time?

2AM - just woke up. I had my surgery yesterday morning. I was so groggy afterwards I couldn't really wake up until around 4:00 PM. Sipping on water, walking the halls. Received an iv of something similar to Tylenol around 11 for pain. Pain really wasn't that bad but I figured it would help me sleep comfortably. Hope all my April 3 surgery buddies are doing well! -
