I have had puréed chicken with gravy. Haven't had tuna, but it's on my aftercare sheet too. Clc refried beans are one of the main things I have been eating! Glad I can still have them I love refried beans.
I only had clear liquid diet for two days whilst in hospital. Then on to purée when I got home. I can understand why your feeling a bit depressed... I couldn't bare the thought of jelly again when I left hospital. 9 days of it sounds awful! Hope things get better soon!! Once you are on full liquids you will feel a bit more positive. Has the weight been dropping? Keep your focus on these positives!!
I'm 4 days post surgery and I can take bigger sips of water now too. Must be sitting up nice and straight. But no longer little sips. If I take too much in my mouth at once I swallow it in intervals.
My periods can come on during times off stress. When my grand father passed away I had my period on and off for a month with 2 days break between. It's a normal way for your body to react to stress.
I am 4 days post op. Up until now I have read everything quietly in the background never commented. I just wanted to say what a lovely supportive community this is. I had a nurse and my dietitician warn me away from the forums because people can be really negative and it won't help the healing process. But this thread proves them wrong. Thanks for being so supportive and human!! Jfcarjr.... I'm still struggling with the water sips. But it is starting to get easier. Just finished two tablespoons of yogurt and didn't have any issues... of course I used a baby spoon and just coated it and took a good 15 minutes to finish. But no pain in the process. Chin up!! We will get better and it will be all worth it when we can wear the new clothes we buy and look fabulous!!!
