Hey Everyone! Haven't posted in a while I just had my 3rd fill last week..and still no restriction.. That's 5.5 cc in a 10cc band. I'm still working my willpower and staying within my bandster portions, but I get REALLY hungry between meals Hoping that I can go for another fill before the 4 weeks is up! I started running last week..ran my first mile since high school and ran it in 14 minutes (high school=30 minutes) Up to 1.5 miles now at about 12.45 minutes..getting ready for the Bridge to Bridge 12k run in a few weeks in San Francisco...I'm planning on running every OTHER mile!! I had my second fill 2 days ago, too! And I now have 5cc in 10cc band just like you. I have had no restriction up to this point. Today will be my first day of solid food again, so we'll see what happens. I just don't want to be hungry anymore! I told him it was all willpower not to eat between meals. He said, well it's all about willpower anyway. I argued that, no, I wanted the band to start working for ME! lol he made me soooo mad! lol If it was all about willpower I wouldn't have gone through the surgery! My willpower will only last so long! Anyway..good luck to you..let me know how your fill works! Hugs,

Had my second fill yesterday. I'm hoping for at least a LITTLE restriction! I have a total of 5 cc in 10 cc band. I've been hungry in between meals so I'm hoping that will stop. Other than that, I'm still losing! I'm down 71.5 as of today(since January) yay!!!

Well, I had my first fill today! It was quick and easy. My port is right there and he just went for it, no anesthetic. I didn't feel a thing! Yay! I drank a big gulp of water to make sure it went down and it did. I'm scheduled for my 2nd fill on 8/08/08, just after we return from Maui. I'm sure I'll be ready for it. So, liquids for a day, then soft foods, then back to regular. Thanks for being here for me :redface:

I lost 53 lbs from 1/07/08 to 6/09/08..orientation to surgery. It was easy to follow and I was never hungry!

I gained 9 lbs the day of surgery...by 5 days later I had lost it and an extra 2 lbs. It will go away! Don't worry! :tt2:

Hi, I'm Susan from South San Francisco. I had my surgery on 6/09/08 at Kaiser SSF. I started my orientation on 1/7/08, had my first appointment on 4/29/08 with the nutritionist, then Dr. Stiles and the psych eval. on 5/15/08, saw my surgeon, Dr. David Le, on 5/29/08 and had my lapband surgery on 6/09/08! I will be having my first fill this week on 7/09! Minxz, my advice is to start the 1200 cal pre-op plan when they give it to you and just lost as much weight as you can! Once you get your appointments they will go faster! :tt2:

Hi Everyone! I'm Susan from South San Francisco, California! I was banded on 6/09/08! I am married for 8 years (2nd time). I have 2 daughters, 20 and 13..and 3 stepkids. My husband and I own a condo in Maui and try to get there at least 3 times a year!! I am office manager of a dental office and have been there for 25 years this coming August! ( I was a mere child when I started! lol) I'm looking forward to sharing all of our experiences during this truly exciting times in our life!

I had the shoulder pain for about 2 weeks following my 6/9 surgery. It ended abruptly, thank goodness!

I just got a call from my dr's office and they scheduled me for my first fill on 7/9!!! I'm so excited!! I just emailed him yesterday and asked if he would consider filling me at 5 weeks instead of 6 (which would have been 8 since I'm going on vacation) and he said he would speak to his staff about scheduling it..so now i'm having my fill at 4 weeks! It can't come soon enough! Hugs,

vzghj3- we were banded on the same day! I am horribly hungry now, too! There is absolutely NO restriction since the swelling went down after the 1st week I won't get my first fill until 8/4 (8 weeks) because i'm out of town..maybe I'll call and beg for one at 5 weeks?? lol

I was banded on 6/9 and due for my first fill on 7/21 but I'll be in Maui (poor, poor me! lol) so I have to wait until 8/4 for my first fill..that's at 8 weeks! I couldn't talk him into doing it at 5 weeks, before I left! It was so much easier being on the pre op meal plan! lol

I'm only 3 weeks post op, so I haven't had a fill yet. But I was wondering the same thing. The "stage III" diet I'm on now through Kaiser has me eating very little, just enough Protein, but very little calories. I actually gained a half pound last week! (and I'm hungry all the time!) I was thinking it had to be too little calories, as I'm drinking all of my Water throughout the day and walking 45-60 minutes daily same as before.
