  1. You should be ok according to the insurance requirements you described. The clinic is maybe not used to submitting low BMI patients. GOOD LUCK.

    Discouraged

Well you could start by telling us what you tracked for food intake during that gain. (Protein grams, oz fluid intake and type, how many carbs, etc)

    i am going crazy

Are you trying room temp water or weak tea or broth or popsicles? See if any of those help with fluids.

    I truly love my self

    Looking grand!

    PAINFUL ORGASM..still in pain

Go to the ER. Don't be embarassed by your body or sexual activity - we are human. Tell them exactly how you feel and where, believe me the ER has heard things my imagination could not dream up.

    Problems with BFF.

Dr's offices are not going to be very understanding about a 'double booking' - just tell her it is against HIPPA laws - confidentiality and all that. And then stop thinking about her issues and concentrate on yourself, this is a distraction ad will not help you on your journey. Stop sharing your appointment dates with her, stop sharing the details, just say you are still thinking about some things and when you have a decision that is when you will share, then just keep that up.....she will get the message unless she is the type of person that requires a '2x4' upside the head, metaphorically speaking You don't need this type of friend setting you up for issues. Good luck.

    Going down girl!!! Yay!!
  8. The only advice I have is to get a meditation dvd and ise it to relax and practice breathing to bring some peace for your stress. I hope you find some solutions here that work for you.
  9. I wish all of you the best outcomes and the best medical teams to help you.
  10. I think you have made all the right decisions, especially staying in therapy. Young lady you are amazing and in for some thrilling adventures, no more fear - just let loose and do it! You might be afraid of attention and of your reactions to that, don't let that derail you. You might make a few mistakes, give yourself permission to make those and learn from them. It's hard to come to terms with the size you are now and the size at goal because you don't quite believe in yourself yet. Be kind and patient.

    Dilemma

Based on excursions then I would look online, you have 4 months so maybe buy only from places you can return the items to easily. Venus usually has swimsuits and shorts year round - people that live in FL and CA and HI wear shorts year round

    Major Life Changes

Good luck to you. Your journey has been fabulous. Breakups suck. Dating scene, straight or gay is never easy to master in a new place. Do you have hobbies? Maybe start looking in like-minded areas - hiking, biking, theater groups, computer gaming, meetup groups maybe. Personally hate the bar scene thing when I was single back in my 40's. Good luck and you are a good son for coming home to care for your parents.

    Dilemma

Buy a few sundresses(they fit loser anyway) on the sale rack or shop online at big stores a little closer to your cruise date - google resort wear to get specific hits. You can always try resale shops right before and there is always shopping on the ship and at ports too. I will be in 'the same boat' lol in February - we are cruising to S Caribbean for 10 days.

    My Roundabout Journey

@dhazlegrove Sorry about you wife's problems, I had total knee replacement in rt knee 8 years ago, so I know how those injections go - ouch. YES I am a crafty girl lol - it helps to have hobbies that keep you from food. Keep posting your journey.
  15. Info please. Is this your first appt to precertify? Or have you already enrolled and your insurance requires you to stay at 40 during the pre-surgery process? If you need to start at 40 bmi, just weighin with heavy jeans with rolls of quarters in your pockets. Do the sleep study anyway, you might be surprised.

    Ready to Run-Just my thoughts

@ChloeLives4 Take a deep breath darling. <breathe> Your emotions are all over the map. #1 Check with the bariatric team to see if they have counselors or can recommend someone so you can work through these emotions. #2 Schedule sessions with the team's Nutritionist, thst person will give you all the info on the eating stages before and after surgery. #3 Go on YouTube and look for Dr. Anthony Weiner - he explains all of it. There will be scary and amazing changes ahead in your life, take it one step at a time. Good luck.

    Pain in stomach.

Did you have any further issues? Update?
  18. So sorry about your diagnosis. How did they determine the cirrohsis? Special mri and biopsy? Scary stuff. You must improve your eating, can you get some counseling, it could help. Your liver needs you to lose the weight to give you the best chance for it to have some hope. Stage 3-4 is nothing to fool around with. Start loving yourself and get help. I wish you improvement and moving forward.
  19. Look at the confident smirk lady!!!! Yay for you!!

    My Roundabout Journey

Welcome. You are very courageous and your determination will make you a success. Great things are going to be in your future. I wish you well on your journey. My husband also 'inherited' 4 kids same configuration too and you deserve kudos for taking that on, we now have 9 grandkids!!! So fun. Shameless plug. As you get more active, I invite you to look up square dancing on your trusty computer and go take lessons. We are a great bunch of people, we dance to all types of music. We don't compete, but we do have local dances, state and national conventions - National was in Cincinnati this past June! It is great socialization and exercise. Good luck. Keep posting.
  21. It is hard to know. I would ask - when was the last time you were at a normal weight for any length of time? The surgery resets your set point and makes keeping weight off more manageable especially as we get older. I could never maintain the weight losses and I really need the restriction on portion control. Losing weight by being sick is not an indicator of anything but being sick. Good luck on your decision.

    Nobody comments on weight loss?

I think it is dependent upon the person they are and you as well. It is hard to analyze these things sometimes. It definitely changes the dynamics in some relationships and takes adjustment. If these people that aren't commenting never commented on a new hairdo or outfit before they might not know your reaction if they suddenly mentioned weight loss as it is a touchy subject. If they are women and used to make comments and then suddenly stopped they might think you would take comments the wrong way - that maybe their original ones were phony. People are weird and sometimes insecure themselves. I had lots of comments the time I lost 70lbs, some I didn't want because they were inappropriate and then when I gained it back no one ever noticed a new hairdo or great shoes or anything ever again! lol Like I said people can be weird and hard to figure out. Those that are genuinely jealous usually become known by their actions or words at some point. You have to just adjust to these changes and move on. Go shopping and enjoy your new energy and body.

    Pre surgery conditioning

What? You can't carb load the night before, what carbs? Your stomach needs to be empty. Most people are on clear noncaloric liquids the 3 days just prior to surgery. This isn't a contest, I embrace your enthusiasm. Surgery is still surgery and cutting a major organ and getting anesthesia requires standard recovery methods and trying to do ab exercises will have little effect on outcome. I wish you well though.
  24. We are not physicians. After reading - this is a serious condition that is a precursor to cancer. Did they do biopsies? Any family member w similar cancer issues? It can have a genetic component. I think you need to follow up with this issue with a physician that is a specialist. Good luck.
