I got my date so exciting

    Congrats!! Yay!!! Good luck.
  2. Isn't Bio oil just mineral oil and a bunch of surficants, additives, etc? I prefer organic shea butter.

    Stool sample positive

Those are vile antibiotics, take with milk - makes it easier. Clarithromycin made my urine dark, metallic taste in mouth, and my ears ring - so now my file reads that I am sensitive to it - miserable 14 days.
  4. You will be fine, there are lots of physical and mental adjustments to this. Once you get your schedule for wellbutrin back to normal you will feel better - you have a case of 'racing brain' right now going off in 100 directions. (because I am a lot like that too) Your body has just had major surgery and you are trying to function on narrow nutrition - it all takes some time. Check back in with us in a few days.
  5. @JohnnyCakes just wth is your problem!!! Take your spatula someplace else..
  6. Hubs is capable of cooking for 2 kiddos. Honestly I am not interested in food very much. When I can eat normal food, I will make a meat, veg, and some noodle dish for them. I will eat the protein, a bite of veg. When they have spaghetti - I will have ricotta bake, or turkey meatball. Mine love fish, and healthy food anyway. Everyone likes eggs for bf, or some variation. The kiddos LOVE green tuna - tuna w mashed avocado ad lemon juice - I will forgo the triscuits.
  7. @Rainbow_Warrior yes of course (my father was a painter too lol) but the real point was volunteer labor is rarely turned down....the idea is to put yourself out there....

    Post op liquid diet

Isopure ready-made is a clear protein, and somewhat tart - I started putting it half and half with some crystal light raspberry lemonade flavored water. I was having the same issue when drinking premier protein shakes - they just filled me up and I didn't have room for liquids. Also sf popsicles and sf italian ice.

    Cheating on liquid diet

It's not like you will never have thanksgiving again, seriously - how many have you had already in your lifetime? Do you distinctly remember every single one of the past ones? The pre-op diet is to make it easier to lift the liver, as the stomach is right under it. Be brave, be strong and do what you are supposed to do. Good luck.

    Scared this won't work

Normal pre-op anxiety. Trust the evidence - you will fine.

    Separation/Emotional break down

Breakups suck. Sorry you are struggling so much. Try to get in some relaxation - put on some spa music, and take a hot shower, extra b vitamins always helped me, talking w a friend. Maybe set a timer and follow a regimented schedule. No one else can take care of you but you. Hugs...
  12. Check your state legislature as newer laws may be in your favor, or you might be eligible to join a group w similar risks for a higher rate. Some companies have a time frame after any surgery for coverage, you might be denied but can appeal or reapply a year later. Good luck.

    Feeling exhausted and discouraged

Hearing about your issues makes me want to hug you. I hope you are not trying to carry these issues alone - can you get some therapy or group support, like 'Co-dependant Anonymous' or something similar? Books by Melody Beattie are helpful, also Geneen Roth's books. This next paragraph is going to sound harsh. You may need to get divorced. Your marriage might be based in falsehoods because of your condition of co-dependance and depression. You have been running from what is true and hiding who your inner self is for so long that the relationship was built on sand from the beginning. It's not a decision to make in haste but many times healing cannot happen in that environment. #1 - always take care of yourself first, always. Vitamins, nutrition, exercise, therapy and whatever it takes for your mental and physical health. Be kind to yourself and post back on here when you need to vent or need a virtual hug.
  14. I don't think it's your current weight/body comp, it's the guys that are jerks or looking for variety booty calls. I would try cultivating hobbies - join a biking group, or hiking, or some type of sports, horses, shooting, archery, motorcycles, investent clubs, travel clubs, dance lessons, anything where you broaden the circle of meeting more people. Take a couple community college classes at night. And maybe even one or two communities away from where you live. Volunteer for habitat for humanity helping to rehab houses, even if you have no skills, anyone can wield a paintbrush and broom. Think of your experiences so far as just practice learning what you don't want in a man. I met my husband of 20 years when I was 41, (I was not thin) he is an amazing guy, it was a fluke encounter that turned into a crazy good relationship with so many things in common you would swear I am making it all up. Be kind to yourself and hang in there. Oh yeah - bring in the pictures!!!!
  15. Amazing @chrissy43 - great job.

    Water, Water Everywhere...

I drank copious amounts of water and ice tea before surgery but am now forcing myself to drink. Logically I need to but have no desire to constantly sip, no pain swallowing just easy to forget I need to do it....very weird. And my NUT says it's in addition to the protein shakes - so there is that...

    Finally on the losers bench

Ask for a nausea patch - scopolamine

    Making noises

Mine sounds like an amplified symphony of percussion intruments!!! And I am struggling to get in water goals and protein to an extent - shakes are filling and getting old - ack! I am barely consuming 350 calories and that's not good.

    Down 165 lbs since March 28, 2017

You must feel so much better. Keep up the hard work lady!!! Great job
  20. How many weeks post-op are you? What food stage are you in?
  21. Sosewsue61

Not losing!! What am I doing wrong

So post what you are eating and drinking in one day.

    Yay! Congrats!

    Temptations

Your mom is a jerk, glad you stood up for yourself. Admittedly the pre-op diet is hard to do but you can do it. After a couple days it is easier, not pleasant but easier.

    On the way to surgery!!!

Ask for a nausea patch - it worked great for me. Glad you both are doing well. Hang in there.
