  1. @sideeye wt does shift around, push liquids...the body is amazing - take some measurements, sometimes during a stall you lose inches like crazy. Embrace the process.

    โค JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE โค

Proudest moment in 2018 - hmmm more than one I'm afraid When the physician's assistant said I had 'little legs' when she gave me a shot in my knee - I didn't register a word she said after that! When I had 'thigh gap'..... When I fit into size 10 jeans, I came busting out of the fitting room and shouted it out right there in Macy's!

    Weight Loss Meds???

There is diethylpropion that only lasts 4 hours in your system and it doesn't make you buzzy or a b!+@$ - like phentermine will. Phentermine stays in your system 21 hours and after 3 days I could NOT sleep, had muscle twitches and leg cramps and was a snapping turtle.....and that was on a half dose! Neither however interfered with Wellbutrin.

    โค JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE โค

So checking in, even though today is relatively young. Half failed - did not go to bed until 12:30am, and wasn't up doing anything fun....woke up at 6:22am Ate scrambled egg at 8:30. Then proceded to bake bread - Ooof!! Made a tea party for granddaughter and little guest, I ate cucumber toast sandwiches, cheese, summer sausage, a cookie, and then an hour later a warm sourdough potato rye roll. Yeah not my best decision cuz bread lies there like a lump..... I feel bloated and fat...... Sooo lesson here: - don't neglect sleep, then bake bread and expect willpower to magically appear.

    Anti depressants post op

Sleeved 10/24/17, no trouble taking wellbutrin SR 150 pills 2 days after surgery - SR is sustained release, not extended - 1 in the morning, 1 at 3pm However, I have taken 100 IR, immediate release before, and it dumps so fast it makes me cry for no reason - so beware of that possibility. Your doc seems weird about no pills for a year w/o crushing them? Good luck.

    Can it be done?

Advise not to do arms w LBL/tummy tuck at same time, boobs and LBL done together are okay. It is very difficult to take care of your drains, hygiene, take compression garment on and off, etc with LBL, boobs, and arms all at once. But some surgeons will do multiples. I am considering Dr. Peter Fisher in San Antonio when I get to that point. He does combine some surgeries and includes butt lift with LBL as standard procedure at no extra cost, uses your fat he lipos.

    Surprised by this! Thoughts?

At 5 weeks 2oz is about right, you are still healing, give it time. Follow what your surgeon says to do.

Goal#1- track (been doing it for 3 days now) Goal#2 - go back to basics I will do more pics friday....

I Was Amazed When I Heard This

I don't know how far out each of you are, but we all heal and tolerate foods at different levels after surgery. Some food aversions might remain forever, most do not. At 14 months I can only tolerate bites of very small very tender beef, and forget chicken breast. I eat thighs, pork steak, turkey/turkey burgers, fish, shrimp. Lettuce is still dicey, only a little bit, not often and unless bread is chewy italian or toasted not happening - it balls up. I do not eat pasta - a waste of space. I think we are sooo quick to judge people's choices and then we don't learn from each other, beware of becoming a different type of food cop.....all you freshmen.... And seriously we ALL have mental issues with food and everyone has to figure out what works and what works specifically. In the beginning we can all only eat a very limited amount of food, so eating anything at this point results in weight loss - so it feels like winning. It is not a game, but there are some rules and penalties and you are the authors, directors, your own coach. Therapy is always good.

Sophomoreville - A Home For The the Tweeners

http://bariatrictimes.com/hair-loss-among-bariatric-surgery-patients/ @FluffyChix It also seems that even if labs are normal, supplements have helped? (from reading other studies, not recalling exactly where, and too busy to do more reasearch) On to the gift wrapping marathon before the little buggars get back from their mom's )

Sophomoreville - A Home For The the Tweeners

@FluffyChix hope you get the hair thing figured out. Another peep elsewhere took extra iron, even though her levels were okay for labs and made a diff in her hair, she stopped losing it and had new baby hairs. Don't remember the type of iron she took though?

Sophomoreville - A Home For The the Tweeners

Speed reading 14 pages, whew!!! What a gamut of topics!!!! Made my morning. I am nearly 14 months out, lost my drive to track food - it was always my burn out on WW too at this stage - sick to death of tracking y'all. I have lost and gained the same 3-7 pounds for 4 months. I think it's fear. I look sooo much better, feel better, yada yada. Can I maintain a lower weight and like my maintenance food levels? I am happy, but would def like to lose 20 minimum and 30 would be a dream. Do I like the fantasy of it more than the reality of doing it? I want plastics, LBL, new uplifted perky boobs, probably arms, thighs - eh, they look awful but that surgery is frightful I hear. I have a love affair with cashews, helps keep things moving but stalls weight loss big time. I have a herniated rear vaginal wall, and if I don't go everyday I am in trouble. The poop starts to form a 90ยฐ angle bulging into the vagina and hella hella uncomfortable. My hair loss, sad sad sad state. I have shoulder grazing cut but the ends are dry as a 90 yr old grandma's who-who. I am using a shampoo now that is so expensive...and it has slowed the shedding and put shine back in. Will keep you posted. I do have fine hairs along the temple about 2" long now if I can keep them. I have super fine hair texture anyway and now see-through scalp. I am super vain about my hair so this hurts ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ @GreenTealael almost had an orgasm watching that nubian queen in that video...and I am def straight....go for it gf!!! @FluffyChix thanks for the thread. Matt - where did you go? O&D hey there... Everyone else....we get one thing under control only to be hit by something else to manage, at least we are managing it skinnier....โค
  17. Wahoo! Congrats on the wl. And here is to a smooth recovery on the plastic surgery. I am sure you will be happy you did this.

    Breast Lift with Implants

Wow, congrats on the wl. And great knockers!!!
  19. Aww I miss you guys too.๐Ÿ’– I am in a serious cursing, fit throwing funk today. I have too much housework to do, laundry and decorating to do. I love love love my granddaughters, but I am sick of parenting them for 3 1/2 years. I am still in the obese category. I'm so vain about my hair and it has looked like dogshit for 9 months. It looks like a cross between one of those Chinese crested dogs and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. ( I bought some hella expensive shampoo, it better work.) And now I feel like a total **** for being in a mood, Scarlette put on Christmas music and was putting on a show to make me laugh..
  20. Ok, was absent from here, life, baking, life, t-giving, etc. I will read all the posts later, just skimmed a few pages. So to all my peeps here, I see some sad news, some good news, some contrition.... Thanksgiving I made 7 pies, and a ton of the usual food, plus soup with homenade egg noodle after. Was only up 3 pounds and two are gone already. Oh.... someone gifted me sourdough starter and I made slow rise pizza dough, otherwise just feeding the little beast and resisting baking anything else with it. BUT today starts the cookie baking, toffee making fest....I can usually resist eating most of this until later in the month. So this week I might be able to go commando (not talking skipping underwear lol) for drastic Atkins, I have the original book. Following week the hubs and I are going to timeshare in the Dells for a week just for grins and I won't be around much temptation there either cuz we cook and only eat out once, plus there is a square dance yeeha!!! (We go junking, hot tub, etc and just hanging out, lots of cardio๐Ÿ˜.)
  21. Sorry no one is in your corner for this battle! It is really hard for non-bariatric people to really understand this journey, they can give you a hug sure, but we really have to put in the time, and do all the work ourselves in the end. Celebrate all your little goals along the way - get a blank notebook or even just a steno pad from the dollar store and write all your feelings down and all your accomplishments. You can refer to them on days when you need a little boost. Good luck.

    ๐ŸŽ‰1 Year Post Op๐ŸŽ‰

Wahoo!!! @GreenTealael shaking my cheerleading pompoms!! You look so awesome (and how was date night?)
  23. Happy Birthday @Matt Z, woohoo you are doing so great - try to remember that! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰ @FluffyChix be really careful of that low blood sugar, glad you were on top of it, carry some frosting gel in little tubes in your purse and individual peanut butters. Sugar first and then a little protein to make it stay in normal range. Scary damn ****, I know as I have two type 1 kiddos (now adults), low bs - ohhh say 36 or 24 causes convulsions, peeing your pants....and a brain that just can't work.... Glad you are okay๐Ÿ’– The scale hates me, it has been stuck for a month wobbling up and down by 1 or .5 I might try eating fish for a week, plus egg for bf, etc. We'll see. Later. Wait LOL this....https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/low-carb-diets-may-be-best-for-weight-loss-maintenance-study-finds/
