    Surprises!!!

After losing weight, my knees knocked together in bed and hurt like hell, hard chairs make my tailbone hurt now. I cannot eat much chocolate, somewhat of an aversion to it, hit and miss on reactions to it. I don't miss pasta or rice at all, only toasted bread is tolerated. I still hiccup, sneeze or my nose runs when I am full.

Ten month before and after pics

Rock that bathing suit girl!!! You look totally awesome, small waist, and may not need any plastics. You could just wait a couple years and see how much tightens up because you are still young. (Especially if you are not done having children, you didn't elaborate on that part)

    Struggling The Last Couple Days

Sip warm liquids all day, bone broth went down easier than thick shakes. Shakes became an aversion. Try Isopure protein ready-made blue raspberry or punch, it saved me because it is clear, I diluted it with crystal light lemonade.
  4. HR should NEVER tell you that you have to tell your supervisor what kind of surgery, it is absolutely none of anyone's business. All they need to know is your time off for recovery, and any restrictions upon returning to work. Nothing else impacts the business but that, unless you are epileptic or diabetic or require possible emergency treatment at work like an epi-pen. Otherwise you can always claim a hernia repair if you feel pressure to reveal anything.

    Dumping (again!)

Early on I had 'meat sweats' a few times right after eating, and the dizziness and would need to lie down. It's sounds like reactive hypoglycemia https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.eigerbio.com/resources/Goldfine-2016.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwj12ZTU94niAhUNvKwKHU2qAx8QFjASegQICBAB&usg=AOvVaw3_1GW7msGkeuZlxOShhfXR
  6. If you are not on medication, go ask for some. Try tepid or warm liquids in really small sips. Good luck.

    ❤ MAY 2019 CHALLENGE❤

Eggs - almost runny is my fav. But I love all eggs in general. In early food stages I had to wait a bit for scrambled - was a texture thing. (Some beef still iffy on texture, feels harsh on stomach)

    ❤ MAY 2019 CHALLENGE❤

Married to a private party/gig DJ - lots of vinyl, CDs, no 8-track, maybe cassettes, had mini-discs, at one time tons of DAT tapes, now all rerecorded to the laptop with software that removes 'noise' - we can't park in the garage - cuz equipment (2 motorcycles in there though). The house, garage, basement, back deck all wired with speakers - can also play Sirius radio through them, as we have lifetime subscription.
  11. Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Thursday evening at St. Leo's Catholic Church on Sulpher Springs Road, Inwood. Private weigh-ins are held from 6 to 6:30 p.m., with the support meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. Visitors are welcome to attend and the first meeting is free of charge. Annual membership for TOPS is $32 a year and Chapter dues is $4 a month. TOPS provides education programs, support, and friendship.
  12. You might try putting up an ad at the grocery store, library, gym, senior center, etc for interested people to start your own support group - maybe even use a room at the library. You don't have to talk about WLS, just the struggles of not snacking, food choices, recipes, etc and then email or call each other during the week for support.... There is also TOPS which is relatively inexpensive org and they used to be a great group when I attended years ago.

    Protein shakes and bars forever?

How long is this regimen of shakes supposed to be? Until you lose x# of pounds or a set time? I can only guess the reasons are that he wants maximum weight off asap in these early months. Honestly I felt better when I could eat real food, and I had an aversion to shakes early on. I had a few other aversion with foods in the early months - beef and chocolate. Chocolate still is iffy. It was a few weeks in the beginning figuring out tolerance, but gets easier as you go. Some people continue with one shake to supplement protein requirements all through the journey. Good luck.

    BCBS but employer opted out

What state are you in? Depending on income levels you might qualify for assistance through a different route? Could you sign up for ACA and opt out of employer insurance for one year or get a rider added to BCBS on your own and wait the required time before allowed surgery? And it's insane that a hospital opted out of bariatric coverage.

    Gastric sleeve revision?

The only way to know is for your surgeon to order tests to see if you stretched it out. But again it won't fix your head, get that fixed first - start now to do that. We will always have bumps in the road, but you have to stay on the road forever, there is no getting off. Good luck.
  20. @Heidihoo how is it going? I find just getting back to mindful behaviors - no eating anywhere but the kitchen table, no random snacking, etc is a good starting point. I am glad you are in therapy. You might check out Peter Michaelson https://whywesuffer.com/exposing-the-roots-of-emotional-suffering/ It might help in between sessions. He has some great insights into how to overcome our 'stuck selves', it's very intense. Good luck.

    Confession

You need to recognize the 'want' of these foods, not saying never, but just don't partake - it leads to head games, you must take care here and honor the beginning process as THE ONLY TIME you will have to maximize the skills and the losses you will need to sustain your success down the road. It changes. You can just about ingest anything and everything right now in a small quantity and lose, false sense of security and success. Go watch Dr Duc Vuong on youtube, watch one every day for reinforcing the rules.
  22. Inflammation subsides as you heal after surgery, so the restriction feels like it has relaxed a bit. Don't challenge your 'sleeve baby', what will happen is - ' oh damn that last bite hurts, I have to spit that up or lie down.' Then after a month that EXTRA bite just feels slightly uncomfort able - see where I going? Weigh or measure your serving, eat slowly, and leave two bites on your plate and get up and dump it in the trash. Don't challenge your sleeve.

    Extreme Measures

It will reset your head, and rid your liver of glucose. Good luck. I havebeen watching youtube videos of Dr Duc Vuong for a good arss kicking reality
  24. I would wait for all plastics until after childbearing is over... maybe arm lift, but that would be it, anything else is going to get stretched out by pregnancy and implants can cause plugged milk ducts even if you don't nurse. I encourage you to breastfeed however as it is superior nutrition and helps the uterus to go back into shape faster, and the most endearing relationship bonding with a baby ever. Good luck.
  25. I've only tried making 'cookies' once with swerve and almond flour - eh it was okay. The hubs and grandkids thought it was good.
