You got this. We all lose weight differently. I think 2 weeks post op I only lost like 6 pounds. HW: 420 (January 2016) CW: 270 (March 2017) Instagram: vsg_queendiet -
Just remember protein first, don't eat and drink at the same time, workout 4 to 5 times a week, track your calories, and drink 64 oz of liquids. You will have weight loss stall on your journey. Do your measurements so when the scale isn't moving you can still see your making progress. If you stay on track you won't regain the weight. vsg_queendiet replied to nitasjourney's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Get as many as you can. Studies show most American only get under 3,000 steps a day. So your way above average. Your doing awesome [emoji4] HW: 420 (January 2016) CW: 270 (March 2017) Instagram: vsg_queendiet -
Met Surgeon, feeling dissapointed
vsg_queendiet replied to lizard107's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My bmi was almost 80 when I started my pre op diet. My doctor told me sleeve would be best because if I didn't lose all my weight that we could always do a revision to rny at a later date. But I'm 8 months post op and my bmi is now almost 40. Just remember what ever you chose to pick it's a tool to help you. Your not going to magically lose weight cause you got it. I still track calories and workout everyday. The bad food still fits in, but I follow the rules and eat my protein first. So, I'm a bit Lost...
vsg_queendiet replied to xLosty's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It very normal to second guess yourself. But weightloss surgery isn't a magic solution. It's a tool to help us. We still have to do all the work. Sometimes you need a little extra help. There nothing wrong with that. I had second thoughts about getting the surgery too. Im 8 months post op and guess what? Best decision I've ever made. I would do it again in a heart beat. I used the protein shakes. Like body of fortresses, muscle milk, and atkins lift protein water. Was never a fan of the unflavored protein powder. HW: 420 (January 2016) CW: 270 (March 2017) Instagram: vsg_queendiet HW: 420 (January 2016) CW: 270 (March 2017) Instagram: vsg_queendiet

We all go through this. Most of us have a serious food addiction that's how we got here. Your not alone. You got this. Stay strong and drink tons of water. HW: 420 (January 2016) CW: 270 (March 2017) Instagram: vsg_queendiet -
"You're serving yourself too much!"
vsg_queendiet replied to NixNichi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You should be able to eat 2 to 3oz of food now. Or 1/2 cup. For the soup it's a liquid. Don't be surprised if you able to do 8oz because liquids go in the stomach and leave the stomach quick. I measure all my food out on a food scale and track all of it on a app called mynetdiary. I think that far from surgery I was getting about 500 - 700 calories. 6 months post op
vsg_queendiet replied to francesalisha79's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh wow. I got yelled at for my 4 month post op appointment for doing 600 calories a day. They moved me to 1300 a day. I don't always hit it and sometimes I go over a little. But I'm still losing ton of weight. Here's a website you might find helpful. https://www.mexicobariatriccenter.com/not-losing-weight-after-gastric-sleeve-surgery/ HW: 420 (January 2016) CW: 273 (March 2017) Instagram: vsg_queendiet -
6 months post op
vsg_queendiet replied to francesalisha79's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 7 months post op and I eat 4 to 6 oz. My calories are 1000 - 1300. I weigh all my food out and track my calories on a app called mynetdiary. There is a great article about all this that I've found very helpful. Shows a whole day of food for 6 months out and how much you can eat. https://www.mexicobariatriccenter.com/not-losing-weight-after-gastric-sleeve-surgery/ HW: 420 (January 2016) CW: 273 (March 2017) Instagram: vsg_queendiet -

vsg_queendiet replied to braydens.momma's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've seen people go back to work a week after surgery. Just depends on how you are able to handle getting your liquids in that first week. I wasn't allow to start lifting for about month after surgery. Started walking a few miles about two weeks after surgery. HW: 420 (January 2016) CW: 273 (March 2017) Instagram: vsg_queendiet -
getting frustrated
vsg_queendiet replied to KG1985's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like the 3 week stall. Happens to everyone when you start to introduce food. Your body goes into survival mode cause it's preparing for rough times. You should start dropping weight soon enough. You got this. Just work on your protein and water. When the scale isn't moving take your measurements. Take pictures so you can compare. It helps alot. My favorite wine cooler is carbonated. I've try to take even a small sip and it comes right back up. I've seen alot of people wait till it goes flat and then drink it. But just decide not to even worry about it. Have you try green tea? That's what I drink alot of now instead of soda. HW: 420 (January 2016) CW: 273 (March 2017) Instagram: vsg_queendiet

Hiatal hernia Repair & Gastric Sleeve?
vsg_queendiet replied to MamaAsh32's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had both done. I got acid reflux bad after surgery. It's because your body hasn't gotten used to your smaller stomach so it's still producing the same amount of acid to break down your food. So your not eating so all the acid come up. But good new is by 4 months post op all my acid went away. Have they did the taste to check your acid reflux? I've seen alot of people go back after a week after surgery. Just remember to get your liquids in and walk. Don't lift anything heavy. Have someone help you till your clear to lift again. HW: 420 (January 2016) CW: 273 (March 2017) Instagram: vsg_queendiet

Atkins lift protein water, body of fortresses, and muscle milk. Those are the only ones I like and could handle after surgery. HW: 420 (January 2016) CW: 273 (March 2017) Instagram: vsg_queendiet

I can still drink them. I love Juicing. Just can't drink a whole Mason jar no more like I did before surgery. My stomach handle it great after surgery. Started drinking them about month after surgery. HW: 420 (January 2016) CW: 273 (March 2017) Instagram: vsg_queendiet
