In 2010 I took a antibodic that cause me to have a pseudotumor. My spinal fluids was greater than 55. Which cause me to go blind. I have 3% vision in my right eye and 13 % in my left eye. Having that happen caused alot of depression. I turn to food and gain alot of weight. I did so many yo yo diets but failed every diet. In 2015 I made a bucket list of things I wanted to see and do before I lost the rest of my vision . One of them as to do a 5k. In the end of December 2015 I decide to take back my life. My weight was 420 pounds and wearing a 6xl tshirt. I had so many health problems PCOS, autoimmunedisease, RA, thyroid, pseudo Tumor, and high blood pressure. I decide to look into bariatric surgery. I had a friend that had the sleeve and told me all about it. I sign up and made a appointment with Doctor Amy Johnson at Pikeville Medical Center. My first month appointment i weight 409 pounds. They give me a whole binder full of information I will need for my weight loss journey. I was required to do a 6 month diet. I was told to lose 30 pounds in 6 months. I started eating on baby plates, adding my calories and got a gym membership. I lost almost 80 pounds before surgery. Day of surgery I was 346 pounds. The first month after the surgery is the hardest, because your swollen from surgery and cant get anything down. Had alot of depression and regret why did i do the surgery, but now I'm 7 month post op weighing at 273 pounds. This is my first time in my adult life weighing under 300 pounds. I no longer regret having surgery. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I miss out on so much in my life because of my weight. This been best tool i could ever ask for to help me lose weight. My weight loss journey wasn't easy, but I'm glad i didn't give up. Im down almost 150 pounds in 14 months. I no longer on tons of meds and all my health problems are gone. Only thing I take is vitamins. I'm no longer in a 6xl tshirt and can now fit 2x / 1x. Just wanna say losing weight isnt easy, but not giving up is harder
