What to pack for your hospital stay
1234567890 replied to Holls06's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
kicks (no leashes on), favorite tunes, headphones, coconut water to hydrate, gas-x strips to relase gas post surgery, tooth brush/paste (believe me.. you will need it), chapstick, baby wipes (You can’t shower till next day, thick socks (you will be freezing). Time yourself and set alerts every 2-3 hrs to go for a walk...best of luck 😜 -
Day 4 post op is this normal?
1234567890 replied to sleeeved's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Absolutely normal... at least that was my case... you will feel better soon.. I felt better after a week or 2, and liquid intake is a process.. in my case took me almost 2 months to take water without any issues... stay strong pal! -
Cool then, also don't get use to the old habits :).. I had them when I hit my first weight goal.. Then back to normal
-
I have never mixed 2 proteins, I am not a Dr but I think your body can process X amount of protein. say your Premier Protein hsa 35 grams, and you want to add a scoop of protein Y with 30 grms or protein, theoretically will be a 65 protein shake right? I don't think your body will absorb all protein.. Not sure tho, ask a Dr.

oh boy.. I tried them after 9th month.. I could only handle 3 LOL. I have them spicy and it did not bother me at all.. So far no issues... If you are in your first stage (3 months) I would wait a little bit...

Hey it happens to everyone.. I haven't lost weight for the last 3 weeks.. well maybe 2 pounds.. Nothing to worry about as long as you are following your meal plan (proteins, veggies, water intake, portions).. It is just temporary.. focus in size instead of weight.. good luck -

I tried loosing weight on my own for about 8 years.. lost / gained weight, it’s no beainer.. it was due food addiction. Surgery gave me the opportunity not only to lose weight.. but to re-think and fix my earing habbits. See food a different way and eat to live.. not the other way around.. People think we chose the eas way..frankly, surgery helped me, but I also spend aboout 8 hours a week working out at the gym. At the end of day part of me says I couldn’t do it on my own.. other part of me is satrisfied and happy with my results and change.. not only physically, but mentally. -
I think amazon has Kettlebells adapter (handles) that adapt to regular weighs.. you may wany to try that.. so you have your regular weights and use adapter for kettlebells...

You got this pal! Best of luck and wishing you a fast recovery...

Not sure what to do...family doc against bariatric surgery
1234567890 replied to TexasMommy80's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Isn’t Doctors job to look out for your health? I don’t see why your Doctor is against weight loss surgery. If you have been struggling with overweight and you can’t loss weight due food addiction or other reasons.. WLS should be the option.. Go to the bariatric group and they will get this thru.. I hope you get a Dr who knows about this type of surgery and can tell you pro/cons.. mostly is pros the cons are temporary.. -

Isn’ that the best feeling? I am 9 months post-op and went from 3XL to L, there is nothing better than shopping and finding something that fits you and is not in Plus section.. Funny thing is that whatever you buy it will be falling off in couple of months... Keep it going pal!
