Surgery scheduled 1/29 woo hoooo!
1234567890 replied to lessofLia's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Best of luck in your surgery.. as far hair loss try biotin pills, take pills asap, I think it takes like a month to kick in... also keep track of your protein intake..as far as hair loss, dont panic, is not like you will end up like Bruce Willis. Take your biotine, meet your protein intake. you are almost there.. best of luck! -

No pain at all.. unless you go Mr Gray all the way LoL.. I guess check with your Doctor to be on the safe side.. try not to do strenght or bend your abdominal area, otherwise you will feel pain. I was told not to lift anything heavier than 20 lbs or incline 90 degress until 2 months.. I guess all depend of your doc’s guidelines.. Good luck and hope is nothing major.. -

Thats natural.. I had the same feeling for at least 3 weeks, but it gets better, nothing to worry about.. you shouldn’t sleep on your stomach.. sleep on your back.. best of luck and you will be like nothing happened shortly. -

Best options when it comes to alcohol?
1234567890 replied to Mhy12784's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Vodka or Wine..not saying is the best, but is my choice when I go out or have events at work.. 1-2 drinks a night & Water in between. I also make sure I workout an extra 1/2 hr to compensare extra calories..not too concern abour suggars.. Since my levels are 59-65 and I got zero sugars in my diets or carbs -
You have to trust the process.. I remeber losing 14 lbs per week avg first couple of months.. but I was bug (405lbs). The lower your bmi the lower pounds you loose per week. Metabolism is different too.. forget the scale and focus on size.. believe or not you might be loosing inches.. just trust procress.. follow your diet.. meet your liquid intake and protein and you will be ok.. cheers pal! And dont get discouraged

Sleep Apnea and Anesthesia
1234567890 replied to TakingABreak's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hi Ash, I feel what you are saying, I also had severe sleep apnea and used CPAP machine. After surgery it was recommended by my Doctor to stop using it, he was afraid air intake will affect my abdominal pain, long story short, after my second month I lost about 70 lbs, and helped a lot to reduce/stop my sleep apnea. Now at my 9th month that is no longer an issue.. Just fyi if you have a CPAP and you insurance is paying for it, make sure you return it. Of course check with your Doctor first, but as far as sleep apnea it goes away with weight loss.. good luck [emoji106] -

Best of luck pal.. you go this [emoji119] -
Don’t mind the scale, you sill continue to lose weight.. and stick to your post-surgery diet plan, i guess you are into 2 weeks liquid diet?. You are not hungry, that is just head hunger..personally I took me a couple of months to meet my 48 oz water intake, but it gets better every day. Now at my 9th month I can drink 64 oz per day, I would suggest to stick to your liquid diet, if you are missing the fact that you are no longer chewing your food, try popsicles, or jello (check with your Doctor first). In my case jello and popsicles was part of liquid diet.. best of luck and stay strong..
