Hi. I had a vsg on Feb 28th of this year. I was on pantoprazole for a required 3 months. I then stopped as I generally do not want to be on a ppi and I don't have gerd. My surgeon was OK with this. It's been almost 3 weeks now and I have generalized stomach pain. I cant always discern if I have pain when I eat or after. I just know my stomach is upset and it doesn't feel right. I don't kow if this is because I stopped the ppi or if it's just that I'm still adjusting to my new stomach. Has anyone else dealt with this and how did you get through it? Thanks.

Gastric bypass or sleeve? How did you choose? Anyone 5 years out of surgery?
samjams replied to LoveLife4U's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I decided to have the sleeve because I didn't like the idea of re-routing my stomach. I wanted to maintain my regular digestive tract. I didn't want to worry about a lifetime of vitamins and nutrient deficiency. I've kown people with the sleeve and with gb who have gained weight, so I just went with what was comfortable to me. Good luck.
