Don't worry, I'm sure you're surgeon will have done their heaviest drinking the night of the 31st. It's our brothers and sister having their surgeries on January 1st whom we must pray for lol.

Challenge Starting weight: My current weight is unknown I last weighted myself a week ago. I was becoming obsessed with the scale so I had to take it to the basement behind the furnace. I feel so free! I'll weigh myself the morning of my next MD appointment. December 27th Current weight lost: 23lbs Losing or maintaining weight: losing Fitness/exercise goal: I bought this awesome desk elliptical thingy called Cubii jr. I love it! I use it at my desk all day. I'm gonna have legs like Tina Turner! I also do upper body weight training with resistance bands. Total weight loss at the end of challenge: (Post January 1st 2019) Check in: Tell us how you are doing - (How is your diet and exercise plan going? Any struggles? Stress level? What have you overcome? Any strategies that have helped) Right now I'm still pre op. I've been approved and I'm awaiting surgery January 15. I'm really good at losing a lot of weight because I practice IF. Problem is I don't stick with it. Knowing I'm going to have surgery has made sticking to a good diet really easy. I put myself on a kinda Optifast diet. Lots of clean Protein Shakes and 1 meal. I consume about 800 calories a day, very little carbs. My goal is to be 245 on my day of surgery!

LadySin got a reaction from 🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺 in Dr Submitted(pprwrk) as Urgent
I work for an Insurance. I work in a department that specifically handles prior authorizations and well as appeals. We don't drag our feet, even though it may seem like it. But boy do we get busy as all hell. Especially around this time of year. I don't know the rules for you particular insurance company but for mine when a member or provider requests an urgent prior auth we ask them a few questions first. Is the patient's life in jeopardy if they don't have whatever they are requesting done urgent? Can they go to the ER? If there life isn't on the line we then ask if they are in unbearable pain. If either one is a yes we process all urgent within 72 hours. Some stuff we have to process same day like chemo treatments and fertility procedures. We don't fight the provider or patient's usually. If they answer yes to the questions we take their word for it.
So remember folks YOU CAN ASK YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER FOR YOUR CASE TO BE EXPEDITED. You DO NOT have to ask your provider. Just remember to answer those questions correctly. Again I don't know the rules for every company but in order to even get an urgent you also have to ask for it within 10 days of the case submission.

Thanks for the update! I'm pre op and I lift but not effectively. I'm just using resistance bands with a bar, and an ab roller. I LOVE the roller. I can definitely see some results. Everywhere really. Hope to keep this up for life!

There should be a place in Hades, a very nasty place in Hades for aoneone molests or abuses children. Children are our World' s future and they do not deserve any pain, any suffering, any fears and sorrow. The adult world can be mean, but do not visit adult sin on little innocent people.😪💦😭💦

Come to think of it so does my bariatric clinic, intimidated me at first, you see I spent years being weighed and found wanting, yeah it sounds biblical but I don't mean it,exactly like that.
You I ow I would try and try, make my paltry losses and there would be an undertone I hated " You know you could do better. You just don't try hard enough!" And,i was always trying level best hard as I can.! And like the Biblical King, I was not good enough for what God planned.
Now post surgery it is :-,finally,my fist bump time, and that is pleasing.. Some thing,i do fear, and maybe I should not verbalize it,but I shall. I understand the rational of an anorexic, the sense of power as pounds melt, away rapidly, it is finally like you Can Have Finally Control, it is a thin thin line between health and sick applications here and I feel teetering,on the knife edge.
You know I did watch this show a lot of furst, same sick fascination many, people have at an traffic accident, just cannot help watching, even though the. pain , wounds are so evident. Now, Tomkitten still likes watching, I will not turn to TLC willingly. It just doesn't feel, right to me anymore.

LOL I’ve religiously watched every episode, every season, probably 2-3x 😂 That Asanti family is the biggest train wreck I’ve ever seen. My favorite though...when Dr. Now hauls off on one lady that’s constantly blaming her weight gain on Water weight. He goes “You’re not 700lbs of water!!!” I nearly died LOLOL

Ohhhh and maybe we should start a romantic erotic movie thread for women! LOL, you know, where we give our favorite visual movies for um "romance" and getting in the mood.
(Talk about me all you want, but the love scene in Top Gun and Ghost are among my faves and get the motor running! IYKWIM? hehehehe)

Putting the Telogen Effluvium Hair loss research I used in a thread for the interested.
Started researching this after a visit to my dermatologist confirmed, Biotin and minoxidil would not help much.
I believe I started taking LLysine as soon as I was allowed to swallow pills post op. I experienced very very minimal hair loss (slight thinning of edges) My hair is back to normal now 1yr post op
(Noteworthy info: I practiced low manipulation of my hair for months (ballerina bun), my Iron ferritin and other Vitamins and minerals were perfect during this time because I received iv infusions and oral supplementation, Protein was around 45g daily when I started and worked up to 60g daily)
I would suggest consulting your teams, doing your own research, spending the least, understanding that genetics and environmental factors will also play a role despite best efforts, and getting an amazing silk/satin scarf or pillow case to protect what you have.

    Safe Journey!

Well...it turns out that OSU is still denying my application. Even though their website clearly states that they consider NAFLD and hypertension as comorbidity conditions, I was still denied. So, I found another provider in my network. My insurance has been awesome with helping me find providers, so I am fortunate. I hope the next one works out better than OSU.

Yeah. Sorry to hear this. If you have not had a SERIOUSLY huge poopy, that "may" be the case and you are right at about that time when this hits.

Mine hit at 3 weeks. Went to ER for projectile vomiting cramps, and nausea that just suddenly hit. They imaged everything and told me I was full of sh*t! And to go home and poop my brains out. So I got glycerine suppositories and MOM and had a field day--total party! You. Would. Not. Believe. The. Amount. Of. Poooooooo!!! The humanity!!!

I have posted in another thread in the ESG subforum a link to an article for regarding successful ESG revision to sleeve, but there seems to be some talk about surgeons not wanting to do sleeves due to the suture anchors and they seem to prefer doing bypass revisions for ESG.
On an ESG Facebook group I belong to, there is a surgeon who posts occasionally and it was something he mentioned when someone asked the question. I will see if I can find it.

LadySin reacted to parisshel in Is your weight loss surgeon morbidly obese?
My surgeon + staff are thin, but that is unsurprising as I live in a city where there are few overweight people. (I think they hide them or something.) I have to add that I know some cardiac surgeons who are smokers, and that really blows my mind.
That said, I would be uncomfortable consulting someone in the field of obesity and obesity research who is obese. I recall a time when I was in my twenties and I wanted to consult a therapist to see if I could find out WHY I had this weight problem. So I go to this woman who was highly recommended, but when I had my first appointment and saw she was 300 pounds, I knew I would not take anything she said seriously. Physician, help thyself!
