No one is perfect. I gained and dropped weight many times. I may wind up gaining some back after I hit goal, but will never give up trying and admire those who don’t give up as well.
I’m 7yrs away from retiring, and want to be around and healthy to enjoy it. Luckily my family is supportive, which means a lot to me. Positive thoughts only.
We can do this. I’m always here if you need an ear to listen.

Always remember where you’ve been, and how much hard work you put in to drop 61 lbs already (congrat!), and make the promise not to be that old person.
You won’t totally say goodbye to carbs, but the NEW YOU will prioritize, with Protein first, and limited fats and carbs. You’ll still be able to have splurge days a little bit down the line, but in moderation. You may even find that you no longer have a taste or desire to eat the foods you used to eat.
You are strong. Stay strong. We are all going through the same journey and are here for you.

I had my sleeve surgery in November 2016. Pre surgery weight was 470. After 2 week pre-op diet I was 440. This week I weighed in at 220 pounds. That's 250 pounds LOST and it's been easy. I am insanely glad that I made the decision to get this surgery. I've heard stories of people who gain weight back after this surgery, and it baffles my mind because even 2+ years later I still get full so quickly. I can't imagine how anyone can eat too much with such a reduced stomach size. I know instantly that I cannot eat anymore once my stomach is full. I know instantly that if I took another bite I would feel physically ill. Anyway, I am beyond happy with my health and the way I look. From a 58 waist to a 36 slim fit in jeans.
    Yay me!

Did you know for the right amount of money they will launch. your cremainsbinto Outer Space? Be just my luck to find some cut-rate group on the internet and I get used for crop-dusting instead. Gee Farmer Jones, I don't know why that application failed, maybe faulty powder!

OMG Why yall fridges look like you live with Martha Stewart. Crisper drawer? Ah you mean a place to throw the eggs sometimes! I live off shakes in veggies these days so most of my stuff is in the bottom to drawers. That big pink bottle is my 1 gal jug that I smash everyday!

I'm not so good at doing these on time! Lol

    4) Proudest 2018 moment - having VSG surgery. Which also helped diagnose me with Celiac Disease. So now I'm no longer in gut pain and getting healthy!

    5) We keep the fridge pretty bare... this is after a shopping trip! It's mostly lunch meat, cheese, pickles, eggs. The freezer has all our meat and our pantry is stocked, so is our spice shelf! I'm all for making home cooked meals, and thanks to Pinterest, I can do it with minimal ingredients.

Here you go .... and I live alone, and can only eat a couple of ounces at a time, so there is no explaining this fridge

Again all great points. You are indeed in out the box thinker. I would a imagine those ALL those scientists are too is the point Im trying to make. They know this stuff. YOU know this stuff. A quick google search and ANYONE can learn this stuff. I'd rather believe my grandkids. who will be leading the research on human DNA resequencing, will be living in a society where such blockbuster events couldn't be kept in the shadows.
DNA analysis has indeed been used to people behind bars. Lots of guilty and innocent people have been put to death because of the "Gold Standard" DNA Analysis. You can do a good search and find plenty of verifiable stories of DNA analysis failure. That's why no prosecutor goes in with just DNA evidence alone. It Ain't perfect. Nothing is. I'm OK with that. Lets not hinder progress with fear mongering. I plan on one of my oh so many great kids being the President of The United Planets of Sol. Don't ruin my dreams!

*Just want to add the Government already has all our DNA anyway, and our parents gave the permission.. They collect it in the form of blood tests we receive as babies to check for a crap ton of disorders*

✌ I can neither confirm nor deny ✌
But I remember an ethical debate in my Post Grad courses about the collected genetic materials possibly becoming patented intellectual property of the companies that harvest, store and analyze them. Much like Monsanto and grains.
Anyone else remember something along this vein? It's been years since I've done any real research on it.

Interesting to hear that your husband has noticed the unbalance in the friendship for quite some time. His perspective is a good one to pay attention to because he's been able to see the pattern IRL.

Usually the Campbell Soup that causes the Dump deDump-Dump is 🍅 in fact quite notorious. I don't know if someone in the original got the pea-sized brain that tomatoes were bitter and so nasty that you had to add sugar and starch to the formula, nut they did it and some of us end up "reaping the whirlwind". And alas and alack, there we are!💦

Bahahaahah! Spare undies are dang good idea! My company is literally 18 people with no out of the way bathrooms. They're in the middle of the building which also happens to be located on the opposite side of the wall from where me and my crew sit. You can hear EVERYTHING through the walls! The men here have no shame...none! Most of the women are either super ninja poopers or don't poop here. So if all the sudden someone starts wreckin' the women's, it'll be obvious LOLOL I'm just irrationally paranoid.

And honestly, I know I b***h about my ulcer because life is unjust... but since I started the meds, it doesn't bother me so much. Yeah, I have to be on bland, crap puree for way longer than I should have to... BUT it's definitely taught me a) Portion Control, b) how to ignore my cravings, and c) how to stick to a really strict diet. So... brightside?

Haha pooping at work is the best. You get paid to poop! I mean, I wouldn't want gross, excessive pooping at work. Or pooping without making it to the bathroom. But regular pooping... the best. I have started carrying spare underwear in my purse, though... just in case. Hasn't happened yet. Fingers crossed.

I had a dumping episode in my car once when I FOOLISHLY bought a Mocha and an apple (and a small can of Pringles, hands up, I'll confess) in a moment of weakness, which led to sliming and throwing up mouthfuls of chewed apple and Pringles. Soz TMI.

I hadn't eaten lunch, I was on my way to give a lecture so I knew I wouldn't be home for ages and so in a moment of crazy weakness I stopped at the servo. I bought an apple (pre-surgery it would have been chocolate) and thought 'how bad can a Mocha be? It's basically coffee with a little bit of chocolate'). How wrong I was!

I ate the apple and, I'm ashamed to say, the Pringles and they were fine. Then I started drinking the Mocha. Made it all the way through and then started to feel AWFUL. I was in a car on a motorway and couldn't stop w/o being late for my lecture. So the sliming (gross saliva) started and I was throwing it up into the Mocha cup, one hand on the wheel.

Luckily it was in small quantities but I reckon I filled half of the Mocha Cup. But I was very quiet and discreet in the car so, its not like regular vomiting.

I have never done this before and I will NEVER do it again. No more Pringles and mochas for this girl. Sometimes ya gotta learn the hard way.
