  1. Him not losing weight is the issue. I'm all raring to go and he's getting further and further behind me every pound I lose....
  2. I have a question..... I'm 9 weeks out today from VSG. I have lost almost 50 pounds and I'm feeling more energetic every day. Has anyone had to deal with a partner that is still overweight and now you're on different levels of energy and sex drive??? I thought even if it was just me feeling better that it would get easier. It seems harder now. Feeling discouraged....

    Coffee

Caffeine increases the need to urinate. Which could dehydrate you if you aren't getting in all of your liquids. In "normal" people it's a non issue.

    Coffee

I was told the only issue with regular coffee is caffeine. They are worried you will dehydrate. If you are getting all of your liquids in during the day, I don't think they would have a problem with the coffee. But of course it's always best to ask your surgeon.

    Am I losing too quickly?

I'm eight weeks out as of today, and I've lost almost 45 pounds. I haven't really had any stalls and I'm not going to be very happy when I do! I haven't started exercising yet because my blood pressure is pretty low and when I exert myself at all, I get very dizzy. I'm trying to drink more fluids but I have a very hard time getting in 64 ounces. In fact, I don't even get close to that in a day. My protein intake is low as well. I'm not trying to not eat and drink, I just do as much as I can.
  7. What is everyone eating at 4 weeks post op?? I'm almost off mushy food and I need some variety.

    Stage 3 food

Ok. I guess nobody has any ideas for me. Lol
  9. Hi all! I'm 3 weeks post op today and for the past 2 or 3 days I've been feeling like something is stuck in my chest. Not just when I try to eat my mushy food. Even liquids feel like they are stuck and I'm burping constantly! Anyone else have this issue and how long did it last? I have not gotten sick even once since surgery and I'm planning on keeping it that way but it feels like something wants to come out. No nausea though. When I burp a little liquid comes up into my throat. Doesn't burn like acid reflux. Feels bubbly. Taking gas X strips and Protonix. Haven't really had any other issues besides this.

Burping and even liquid feels stuck!

Maybe. I'll try to cut off drinks a couple hours before bedtime. Only problem with that is they tell me if you're awake you should be sipping! But maybe that just doesn't work for me.

Burping and even liquid feels stuck!

I have been drinking at room temp. I did find early on that too cold felt bad. As far as taking in too much at once, I guess that's possible. But I do wake up with the feeling sometimes. I do try to be very concious of how much I'm putting in my mouth.

    Need advice: Protein drinks

I'm only 3 weeks post op but I've been using the Unjury protein powder for years. It's delicious. They also have a chicken flavor powder that you can make into broth and unflavored that you can put into almost anything. The chocolate splendor I make with skim milk or almond milk and to me it just tastes like chocolate milk.
