I'm a physical education teacher and I'm scheduled to have my surgery December 18th. We have 2 weeks off so I'm hoping to take advantage of my Christmas break and be ready to return in 2 weeks. Anyone use Dr. Fitzer at Virginia Bariatric?

For everyone that has had the surgery with Dr. Fitzer, how was the pain after you left the hospital. The reason I ask is because i read that some say that he does not send you home with medication. I'm not big on pain meds, but I do worry about how to handle the pain if it gets too intense. Thanks for all of your advice. -
