    Tips/Resources for Tracking Food

Baritastic is a great app for building and saving recipes and you can edit at any time. I like to experiment with food and create my own recipes. I start out putting the whole recipe as 1 serving then measure out 1/2 portions, putting them in little containers. Then all I have to do is count containers and then adjust the recipe on baritastic to see what the macros are. Right now I am eating 2 oz so I mark down I ate half. Donna

    Tips/Resources for Tracking Food

I would seriously consider taking a tiny kitchen scales or at least measuring spoons with. I would ask for an additional saucer and when your dinner comes weigh and or measure out what would be your normal portion placing that on the saucer. I am diabetic and salt restricted. I have to make special requests and most places are more than happy to help. Donna

I like EAS protein powder. I use it with various flavorings to make a variety of shakes I like. Donna

    May sleevers?

The first one is today and the other one was me at about 125 pounds heavier. My surgery is Monday and I am officially 150 lighter than I was when I started my journey on Oct 10th. That's when I decided to do this and went on the low carb, low fat, high protein diet. Donna

    New here

I bought vanilla and unflavored protein powder as well as liquid protein shots I can add to sugar free koolaid or jello. I use the unflavored in my decaf coffee or in broth or low fat cream soups strained. The vanilla I use sugar free water flavoring drops or cocoa powder or peanut butter powder to flavor it. I never get bored. Donna

    Will I feel normal again?

This is just the first stages of your new journey. I am sure you can sit with your family and eat your meals, and go on date nights. Your focus needs to be on what you can have now not what you can't.You can have a healthier life and a bright future, you can have romantic evenings out with your hubby where the food isn't the main point of the evening you all are. What about dancing or star gazing? Donna
  13. Genepro has an unflavored medical grade protein. That is 30 grams per table spoon. It can easily be stirred into sugar free pudding which would give you plenty of protein per meal or try it in crystal light to do double duty in raising your protein and getting your fluids for the day. Donna
