That depends on your pouch. I would ask your Nut or surgeon. At least wait another month or so. You can still have tomatoe soup. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using BariatricPal mobile app

Tomatoes have seeds and a lot of acid. This is just one phase. You will get them back. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using BariatricPal mobile app

I personally don't eat pasta or bread at all an would only have fruit if I didn't have the starch that meal. An example of that would be apple sause or half of a very small banana instead of toast at breakfast. I am going to start my pre-op liquid diet on the 9th. I have been low carb and low fat with 80 to 100 grams of protein since Oct 2016. If I can help in any other way let me know. If I could have your name I would send you pictures of each phase from my book. I am sure it would make more sense that way. Didn't they give you anything where you went for surgery? It says you can have eggs, low fat cottage cheese, egg whites, low fat canned chicken, tuna in water, fish, tofu, lean ground meat fruits canned in water or is own juice-no sugar added, soft fresh fruit as tolerated, potatoes without skin, cooked ceria made with skim milk, toasted low fat breads, and I pasta. NOT ALLOWED ARE whole milk, solid/crunchy foods, rice, popcorn, high fat meats, high fat starches, fried foods, consecrated sweets, no dried fruit, raw fruit except banana, No tomatoes, oranges, grafruits, or their juices. Each meal should take 20 to 30 min to eat. The way I read that is about 4 small meals a day. With enough water and crystal light to make at least 48 oz. I would shoot for more than that. I also drink decaf coffee and salt free brothes Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using BariatricPal mobile app

At 6 weeks I should be eating mechanical soft food. 60 to 80 grams of protien. Each meal should be about 1/2 cup to 1 cup of food. An example would be like an egg and 2 ounces of oatmeal made with skim milk and fortified with Unflavored protein powder at 7am Then a protien shake made with 8 Oz skim milk around 8:30 8 Oz of water or crystal light at 10am Noon 2 or 3 Oz of fat free chicken, 2 tbs of green beans and a piece of toast Water at 2 and again at 4 pm 5 pm 2-3 Oz of tuna, 2tbs of cooked carrots, 2-4 tbs of mashed sweet potatoes 7pm crystal light 8oz 9pm 8oz water Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using BariatricPal mobile app

Very happy for you. I will find out my date when I go to my pre-op on the 9th. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using BariatricPal mobile app -
The times that you are not asleep you get up and go to get food and eat it right? If I sound judgemental that's not how it's meant. I was a mindless eater. I was eating without thinking that I even knew I did it. My therapist have talked it though and what she said made sense. In order to mindlessly eat I had to do several deliberate things. I had to get out of my chair or my bed. I had to walk from the living room or bedroom to the place where my food lives. Then I have to choose to go to the fridge or to the cabnet. Then I have find the food. I haven't eaten the dogs food so I did look at what I was getting. You can see where this is going. What I thought was mindless was in fact was a series of conscious choices. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using BariatricPal mobile app

On my own on surgery day.

Thank you everyone for the moral support. My nervousness had to do with my health issues. I am sure they won't do the sugery if my survival is at stake. Guess I am just not used to facing things alone. Before Nov 1st my mom was always there for me and I was with her when she had anything done. Time to put on my big girl pants. Yet Another Hurdle
pretty.ruby replied to pretty.ruby's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry it took so long to respond to your reply. A senior bus would be nice if it were available here; thank you. Besides my surgeon is 90 minutes drive from my home. Again I thank you for the idea. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using BariatricPal mobile app -
My surgical consult was postponed today. Because I am in a power chair and must rely on Missouri Medicaid Transport to get to my appointments I am again at the mercy of bureaucracy. They chose to decline my transportation request today which in turn forced my to reschedule my appointment. I was heart sick of it. I begged and pleaded. I ended up crying myself out and talking a long nap. What I have not done is eat over it! That alone is actually progress for me; I am an emotional eater. It is, but now I can see that basically crap happens all the time. How we handle it has to change now instead of turning to food. Thank you for the support. It's wonderful to have people who also share this journey. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using BariatricPal mobile app

My pre-op consult was pushed out to May 9th. Looking at a surgery the week of May 22nd, but won't know for sure until the 9th. I was so disheartened this morning when I couldn't go to my consult today. I literal got ill from it. I ended up sleeping most of the afternoon, but I didn't turn to food. Now I have resigned myself to it and I am wondering who will be having sleeves then too. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using BariatricPal mobile app

Hair Loss Question for Post-op Low BMI'ers
pretty.ruby replied to NewAdventure2016's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have been doing low carb, high protein, low fat and under 1200 Cal since I decided to go for surgery this time around. Today is my pre surgical consult. Unfortunately I am very prone to hair loss having had thyroid cancer and now with my thyroid removed. My hair is falling already and not just a few in the drain. It's in the bed, against the head rest of my recliner etc and filling my wide toothed comb even though my proteins are very good and I am on biotin and really good multi vitamin and use a shampoo that reports to help prevent it. I truly believe by the time I reach my goal weight I will be wearing wigs. BTW my start bmi was very high. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using BariatricPal mobile app -
