    18 months out and struggling!

Just a quick update. I started back on track about 10 days ago. I forgot how amazing I feel when I eat right and get my water in. The first 3 or 4 days were hard coming off sugar and caffeine but I don't want it anymore. Yay! Doing the pantry purge helped so much. For anyone who read this post because they had lost their way it's ok you will find your way back. Start small and the rest will fall into place. You got this!!!! 2. Congratulations on starting your journey! [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122] 20 pounds in a month is a huge number! Trust me a year from now you will miss these days. Enjoy working out! 3. It probably took me about 6 months to personally notice. Looking back I know I missed all of the little changes. I will never forget calling my husband in tears because I was crossing my legs without even noticing! It seems so small but it was huge. I still keep some old clothes around for days I need a reminder of just how far I've come. Remember to enjoy the small victories like walking up a flight of stairs without pain. A year from now you will be a whole new person! You got this! [emoji175] Sent from my SM-G965U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

2 Years Post OP and struggling

I am 18 months out and am in the same boat. I did a pantry purge this morning and am looking forward to filling my home with healthy yummy foods again. You lost the weight the first time and know what it takes to do it again. For me I noticed coffee is a trigger food. I drink coffee and want "just a bite" of a donut and once I have that bite of donut how bad could pasta be? It's a slippery slope of excuses that got me here in the first place! Think about trigger foods or activities that maybe are not supporting your healthier lifestyle. You got this! [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G965U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

    18 months out and struggling!

Thank you for such a through response. This really helped to remind me that I do not want my old body back! I worked so hard to get here and I don't want to go back. EVER. It sounds like you have some great habits in place! I may borrow a few. Thanks! [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G965U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

    18 months out and struggling!

Hey guys! At my heaviest I was 363 and 1 year post op this summer I was down to 197. I worked so hard to get there and fought for every single pound lost! At my one year appointment my surgeon told me to be happy at 197 and accept it if I gained some back. Looking back I think I took this as permission to slack off instead of being proud of where I was. Now I am up to between 208-215 and I can't seem to find my way back. Anyone have suggestions on what got them back on track or kept their determination going? I need some motivation about now! I will find some before and after pictures to post. Any kind advise would be appreciated [emoji175] [emoji3] Sent from my SM-G965U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

JULY SLEEVERS- How are you doing?

Hello July Sleevers! I have officially lost 100 pounds in total!!!! I lost about 50 pounds before my 7/3 surgery and 50 after but I still think its a neat coincidence that I am 100 days after surgery and I hit 100 pounds lost in total! I am so excited for the future and this shows me that I can and I WILL do this. Reading everyone's posts has helped to motivate and inspire me. Thank you for sharing your journey. We got this!

JULY SLEEVERS- How are you doing?

I was sleeved on 7/3 and everyday I feel better and stronger! I am curious to know if anyone else while on liquids noticed smells are more smelly? I know it is a silly question but I swear for the 10 days before surgery and a few after I had super sniffing abilities! Thankfully it seems to have subsided some now that I can eat solids again. Just curious. Good luck to everyone on their journey!!!
