Sleeved on 2-20, looking for a buddy
SkinnyMinnieHereICome replied to Amy Sty's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'll be 4 weeks post op on 3/10 & I've lost 25 lbs. -
So I'm just over 3 weeks post op and I feel like I'm going through DTs. I'm shaking, getting chills (not associated with a fever), & I'm so incredibly frustrated and anxious that I'm biting everyone's heads off. If there is a "last nerve" everyone has gone so far past getting on mine that I want to scream. This is so unlike me & I hate it! I'm emotional too. PLEASE tell me someone else has experienced this & that it's going to go away.

Anyone else feel this way?

I was sleeved on 2/10. So far I've lost 24 lbs. I'm having emotional issues with not being able to enjoy the foods I once did. It gets a lot harder when your loved ones stand or sit in front you, crunching away (loudly I might add) on one of your favorite snacks. Even after asking them to stop. Today I just feel like crying. -

Got My Date Feb 18th

I'm not sure if you're still on here or not, but I was just sleeved on 2/10/17. I went into CHF due to pregnancy in 2013. I was implanted in 2014 with a defibrillator & then an LVAD in 2015. I too had to lose weight in order to be listed for transplant, but my cardiologist seems to believe that my heart may repair itself if I drop the weight. Can you tell me how things have gone for you post VSG? -

The thing is, my husband isn't a rail. He said before I was sleeved that this will give him an opportunity to eat better & lose some weight too. Except he's not doing any of that. He's given up Diet Pepsi & doesn't drink beer as often. That's not helping me though. This isn't an everyday feeling that I have. It's just today has been a hard day. -

I almost had a meltdown today. My inconsiderate husband broke open a bag of corn chips & salsa & started crunching away (quite loudly, might I add) right there in front of me. I got up, went to my room & loudly closed the door. I know this isn't about him, it's about me, but I'm just having a tough day today. -
Edible Arrangements is a great gift! There's usually a branch located near you (if you're in the U.S.) & they deliver. You can place your order online too!

Hi! I was sleeved 2/10 in Boston. I'm having some struggles that I wondered if y'all were having or experienced at any point? I'm trying to drink water a lot. I'm dehydrated & feeling the gross affects of that, so that doesn't make it any easier. Though I'm seeing the scale tick down everyday, I'm still having mental issues with missing food. I occasionally experience cravings for foods that I probably should never eat again (mostly carbs). I'm a carbaholic. Anyone in this boat? -
Disappointed

You can do this!!! Every diet you've done where you've lost more obviously wasn't a good one because it didn't stick. You want to do this the RIGHT way so you never have to be 400lbs again. You didn't put the weight on in two weeks, it can't all go away in two weeks. I'm with you, girl! I want it GONE now! But, we work hard, stay determined, & motivate each other when we're feeling down. That's the only way to get the job done. Chin up! You'll be happy you did this. Good luck!
